Didn’t know this place existed until I stumbled into Sieu Sieu BBQ restaurant while visiting another store in the same plaza. No frills restaurant but authentic Cantonese BBQ! When they were chopping the roast pig in pieces, I can hear the crispy sound of the skin. 3 hours at dinner time, the roast pig skin is still crispy and the meat was perfectly seasoned (not too salty)!!! Also got a salted chicken. It was cooked just right, no blood still in the bone. Meat was juicy and tender. They also gave a big container of ginger onion condiment for dipping sauce. Yummy! Price is still a little cheaper than other nearby BBQ stores. Plenty of parking spaces. This is the place for roasted pork and BBQ items. We will be back for more!

Whenever I've visited Sieu Sieu BBQ, I've always gotten a weird vibe from the two ladies that work here, despite the number of times I've given them repeat business. It is as if they are intensely suspicious of something about me. This last time, as I took photos of the food, one of the women shouted over to me, "no cameras." "Why?" I asked. "Because. No cameras." What an odd rule, and an odder way to respond to a customer. I paid my $8 for their Roast Pork with its beautiful crackly skin, and its lightly sweetened meat, knowing it was sadly going to be my last time here. This place is good, but not good enough to overcome having to deal with this kind of bizarre and unwelcoming treatment from its proprietors.

Best Cantonese (Chinese) BBQ in town, which is really just a hole in the wall place. (They haven't bothered to take down the old menu from the original Hawaiian restaurant that used to be in this place many, many years ago). Roast pork is their specialty and is fresh every morning from 9 to 10 am. (They roast one or two pigs a day, so there's another shot at the fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness roasted whole pig sometimes later on some of the days). Roast duck is also good. My only complaint is that they don't have any veggies to go in the rice/noodle dishes, other than some pickled cabbage. Cash only.

This has been my number one place to go to for the most delicious and most freshly cooked, roasted pig, regular, whole-roasted duck, and whole roasted-open duck in the whole San Diego county!! I also like their roasted pig feet and head!!😋 I have been going here for about over two decades. I have not tried their other dishes though. My favorite dish is their whole, open roasted duck!! It's really tasty and has a lot less fat than the regular, roasted one, but it still has the right amount of moisture and flavor in the meat, except the head. The duck head is sometimes dry if it is later in the afternoon. I usually get it during their first batch in the morning when they first open at 9:30am. The Cantonese lady who's also fluent in Vietnamese and English would always ask me if I want my duck to be cut. I like to watch her cutting the whole duck into nice bite sizes and all into a box nicely and neatly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes the dishes I...
