Located next to the renowned Yakitori Hino and Yakitori Taisho, Ko-Li Shaved Ice Bar transports patrons into the heart of Japan with its divine kakigori, a celestial treat crafted from flawlessly delicate shaved ice adorned with artisanal syrups. What sets this gem apart is its dedication to authenticity, sourcing frozen blocks of spring water from Japan's Kuramoto Ice, ensuring an ethereal texture and purity.
The masterful artistry behind each creation shines through their menu, boasting tantalizing options such as the mango shave ice, marrying the essence of ripe mangoes with creamy milk syrup and honey cream. For matcha enthusiasts, a verdant matcha iteration awaits, while chocolate lovers will revel in the decadent layers of chocolate mousse, cornflakes, and vanilla ice cream atop the melt-in-your-mouth ice. Not to be missed is the adorable bear-shaped kakigori, a delightful blend of strawberry and milk syrup, crowned with vanilla ice cream and strawberry cream.
During our visit, the persimmon shaved ice stole the show, a delectable testament to Ko-Li's commitment to exquisite flavors. The ambiance, reminiscent of cozy Japanese shops, fosters an authentic experience, where patrons order first and then savor their shaved ice at leisure.
Though minimal on formal service, Ko-Li Shaved Ice Bar thrives in delivering an authentic slice of Japan's kakigori culture. Read moreLike others I don't usually leave reveiws but I feel like Ko-Li deserves the recognition. Been here so far twice and each time did not dissapoint. I got the matcha shaved ice set, and fruit sando. Both great items, with the matcha having a nice refreshing taste that I definitely would reccomend to people who like matcha, the fruit sandos were a little pricey at 8.50 for two but still had very enjoyable flavors. The second time was about a week later on the 16th of May, this time I ordered the Strawberry Bear set and there have been very few times in my life where i'd audibly say "wow this is good". The service of the staff both times were excellent and they were very friendly, please check this place out it definitely deserves to be noticed. They also have a cool table of a bunch of shibu inus gathered in front of their I presume to be leader, here's the photo of that. Anyways great place stop reading this review and go check it...
Read moreI don't usually give 5 stars, but their kakigori was the fluffiest, smoothest, and creamiest I've ever had. Every snowflake literally had flavor. I recommend the peach melba, or the strawberry; I personally like the strawberry because it comes with fresh strawberry syrup. Their fruit sandos are also delicious. The whipped cream was thick enough to suspend the slices of fruit inside, the bread firm enough to hold its shape, and the fruit was fresh. They only have canned milk teas and coffees for drinks, as well as alcohol. I'm glad they finally opened up! I've been ordering their kakigori and fruit sandos back when they were promoting it in Yakudori next door. Though small, the ambience and decor inside makes you think you're in Japan. Please clean up after yourself and keep your voices down in respect to others inside. The attached photo is the...
