There aren't many camera stores around these days, let alone a good one. Props to Mark! aka - Joe Walsh. Mark took the time to assist in getting my Gopro and associated adapters to work with a telephoto lense. Not all shops are like this, and Mark is awesome! We'll do a prime lense next time. If you're reading and interested in my setup, the moded Gopro Hero 10 Black is by BackBone, and the Canon EF to MFT is from K&F. This shop does not support Gopro gear. 🤘😁🤘 - Your favorite tour bus driver.

Cool Little shop in North Park. Staff is friendly and always greets. They can't a lot of brands and they have them out for display which is great for those who want to see the item and test out before purchasing. I recently bought a WANDRD 31L bag that I am absolutely happy with. It costed me 313$ haha. I'm due for a sensor cleaning for my Sony so they'll be seeing me soon.

Awesome San Diego, CA. camera shop! Pretty much everything a newbie needs starting out or a pro in a pinch. Jay was amazing helping me find the right rig accessories for my specific needs. Can’t wait to go back and just visit. The food joints and other establishments look awesome as well. Keep up the great work!

Bad company bad business I have all the proof of the before the store has received the canon lens and the after I receive Canon lens for insurance policy

I cannot be careful this days due to company has abusive and greediness

I have a Canon EF 70-200 version two and a Canon EF 500mm version one

My canon ef 500mm is in great functional condition, it only needs removal of fungus, took almost a montg of wait.

I know how businesses works especially when a specific business is hungry for every single dimes inside of your wallet the kind of greedy business would make you wait longer so at every moment George has camera can tolerate to either loan your equipment to someone else as you are not aware of what is really happening to your equipment and that is while the George has camera made you to wait for almost a month, speaking from experiences, some businesses and technicians will try every seconds of time to tolerate by salvaging your equipment for their extra profits, they do this because some customers sometimes prefer not to have their own canon lens serviced or repaired due to astronomical prices of qoutation or estimate for repair/ service of Canon EF 500mm lens

Take note of this and always remember to inventory your equipment by taking pictures and serial numbers of every inch of your equipment, always remember to TAKE PICTURES OF BEFORE AND AFTER OF EACH EQUIPMENT !

I am not going to share mine for my safety against George has camera.

Mine came with a bigger and deeper dent which was not present and that was before I left my Canon EF 500mm version one to the George has camera store for almost one month of wait.

Before I got my equipment, during call conversation, the store employee, his name is Patrick O' Donnel asked me if the camera lens work, imagine if I said no and pretended that equipment needs work on image stabilization and ultta sonic motor then from that moment they can really tolerate to return the equipment to you in a non working condition because they salvaged it for the greater good of their business profits so on the other hand if you tell the store employee that it works and by not telling them you inventoried the before and after pictures as an insurance policy that way you have an assurance of an unadultered qoute of an such equipment,

Listen and tread lighty with my sayings and speaking from my experiences this will help a lot of people especially those who are just exploring photography this will save you thousands of dollars and time if not by the every inch of dimes then.

Most business will make your balls bleed like rotten tomatoes for astronomical numbers for just a simple request of removing fungus in a canon lens, yeah...

Left UNHAPPY. I went in the other day excited to purchase a new camera by Sony. I called in before heading down and talked to Mark and asked if they price matched. He said they did and had the product in stock. I told him before the leaving my house that I saw the product for $698...$752.10 (Tax +Shipping Included) for the total sale on focuscamera.com. I go to the store and miraculously (less than 3 hours) the price was changed to it's normal price $748...$809(Tax + Shipping Included) for the total sale price...ok then, so I begin to find more price matches. I find a price match on discountbandit.com for $733.04 (Tax + Shipping Included). Mark begins to look the website on his end and refuses to price match them..ok then I'll find another price match. I find one on precision-camera.com for $748 (Total Sale Tax + Shipping Included). Precision Camera is a LEGITIMATE AUTHORIZED dealer and is Texas' largest camera store...Mark refuses to price match that as well.

I ask why not...when I was clearly told that I could price match? Another associate, Peter then steps in and explains that he can't take the taxes off. Working in electronics retail for many years I completely understand that no one (unless a church or the Military is purchasing) can take taxes "off." I show Peter the final price on precision-camera.com and he begins to deny my price match again with an extremely passive aggressive manor to protect the discount of the sale in the store.

I ask if they could adjust the subtotal to reflect their competitors price (a difference of less than 10%). Peter refuses to acknowledge and denies the sale abruptly...he then escorts me out of the building.

I'm UPSET because I was told I could price match before coming down and then was denied. I'm MORE UPSET that I couldn't support a local business and give the sales associate the deal (I know they are on commission.) To deny a first time customer that is young, local, creative and self employed is a ball dropped over a 10% discount. Mark or Peter didn't even try to save the sale and just let me walk without any reassurance in the company. The attitude and environment of this store needs to change.

BE CAREFUL before going into this store!

This is from their website.

update. after emailing the store abt my experience they promptly refunded the money. I was happy to have found an actual camera store, where I could ask questions about my Canon TI3 (I live in a very rural area, where camera stores do not exist in a radius of 200 miles) instead of having to rely on less than helpful user's manual or online tutorials. And Jesse was very helpful in showing me how to reset my camera to factory settings. I bought a tamron 18-200 mm for 250 dollars, and then took the camera to Anza Borrego Desert, where I had a one of a kind day for taking pictures. Incredible light conditions at dusk, a blooming desert in a part of the world I am unlikely to revisit soon, or ever under these conditions. Turned out that 90 percent of the pics were out of focus. I had set the camera on auto focus, and used the program modes for scenery, close ups, or all automatic. Usually, I get crisp and crystal clear focused pics on this camera. With the new tele zoom, what a disappointment. A terrible disappointment. I made a comparison between pics I took with the new tarom lens and with my old original canon lens. The difference is enormous. Under the same light conditions and settings, the canon lens is soooooooo much better. Jessie then said that of course, with a zoom lens, the shake effect was much bigger, as the lens is heavier and the zoom bigger, therefore more difficult to keep steady. Understood! But why would I buy a zoom lens that can't focus right, or gives me pics that have a much lower resolution than my 18-55 mm lens?

So I returned the lens. Jesse checked it on his own camera, and came to the conclusion that in fact the lens did not autofocus right. But, surprise surprise, I still had to pay the restocking fee of 15 %, well then lowered to 10%. I asked him whether he would restock the lens, although it was defective, and he said it was the credit card fees that they had to recover and even the lens cap he could not use any more because there was glue from the cap holder on it, hence the restocking fee. I took the capholder off, including the glue, to show him how easy it was. So, not a very professional attitude, after they just sold me a product that ruined what could have been the most awesome photos I ever took. From a store that got such raving reviews, I am disappointed about...
