North Park Branch Library — Attraction in San Diego

This is a small, quaint little library. Really cool to see old READ posters and relics from the 80s and 90 intact. Very loud (think screaming toddlers and young children and frazzled moms) and busy. I guess quiet libraries are a thing of the past? My experience with the librarian staff was not very pleasant. I came to renew my card and the entire process was unpleasant dealing with a rude librarian for no reason (older woman with glasses). She was also condescending-- how dare I ask her to do a task she has been hired to perform for the public. Or perhaps she's a volunteer which might be worse..... The security guard was also witnessed being rude to one of our houseless neighbors trying to use the facilities which leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

Thankfully, I use my card mostly for electronic books and won't have to deal with the dismal staff at...

I had the worst experience today in the library with an old lady that works there she wears glasses unfortunately i do not know her name but this is actually the second time i speak to her & she is not nice it seems like she doesnt like to work there or maybe she just likes to put books away. As i was telling her i just wanted to pay some copies that i printed she was having an ugly attitude. I have never printed any copies it was the first time so i was actually expecting for help. I expect people to be nice to me if im nice. The security guy was nicer & actually saw me struggling at first & he tried to help me out. That lady pist me off so bad i left really mad & wanted to talk ** to her but decided not to because i had my daughter with me AUGHHHHH ... I hope u read this you'll know...

I love this library! The staff is nice and is always ready to help find the perfect book. Even for my picky daughter. There are computers to capture restless kids and puzzles and coloring for those wanting to unplug. It can get kind of noisy when the children come for crafts but if that is the price we pay for keeping our youths in our libraries, it is one I'd gladly pay. Besides of you don't like kids check out the calendar and avoid them. Thank you North...
