update 2023-10-14] $6.50 for a tiny 8oz cappuccino, goes to much higher heights if you get alternative milk. It's just not worth it anymore. You're paying $10 or more with taxes and tip for what is a slightly better than average coffee. And the quality of their cappuccino has dropped too. It's casually a latte in a smaller cup.
[Update 2016-12-17] bumping up to 5 stars.. They have added more tables and rearranged the seating to make this the perfect coffee shop for all needs! If someone asks me what's the best cafe in town, Im gonna say it's holsem coffee!! [end update I'm knocking one star off simply to keep a higher "overall standard". The drinks and service here are top notch and I would rate them 5star + for those. The only reason to knock off a point is that the seating and tables could be better for students. All tables are wobbly and kinda small if you have to keep a book and a laptop on. There are other places that meet this requirement but their coffee is just not as good. I'm going to revise my 5 star ratings of other places too.
What a find! I'm surprised I haven't seen it before! Great place to study/work either alone or in a group. Coffee is great. Seating arrangements are very unique and people can choose from a variety of options. I love this spot right in a heart...
Read moreI was getting ice cream and asked where I could get good coffee. Holsem was what was suggested as well as highest reviewed on yelp within walking distance.
I went and the environment was very clean and modern. The ambiance was nice. The staff was ok. There were plenty of ppl in the lounge/sitting area however, there was no line when I came in with my friend.
He ordered and went to the restroom. While he was there, I heard them call a drink out. Some guy sitting came and grabbed it then left. The second order was called and I assumed it was my friend's but I didn't want to grab it in case.
He was not gone for that long and the barista continued to call out the order waiting for it to be picked up. Way to frequently. As if there was a line and she needed it gone and to move onto the next. I was sitting there and I felt like she kept repeating the order in my face every other minute.
When he came out she was socializing with the other staff members. He walked up and waited. I said... "I think that's yours." He stood and they continued to talk. He had to say, "excuse me, is this a (whatever his order was)?" The barista said, "yes" but looked/sounded annoyed she was interrupted.
He said the coffee was good. The customer...
Read moreUpon arriving there is a sign right at the front door that states only service dogs allowed inside but other pets are allowed outside on the patio. I only decided to go to this coffee place because I saw online they offered this espresso shake which looked really good. Unfortunately they no longer have any blended drinks available. They are not able to make ANY blended drinks. When I placed my order the young lady seemed hesitant and I felt something odd from her but decided not to pay much attention. Afterwards when I was waiting for my drink, she then asks me if I meant Iced shaken espresso and I said no I wanted the blended drink and she apologized and stated she misunderstood and that they no longer offered that beverage. I was super bummed because I had been craving that drink. I decided to just order an latte since there was nothing else that seemed worthy. I ventured out and decided to go with oat milk instead of the standard whole milk. They also offer almond and soy I believe. The iced latte with oatmilk was whatever it wasn’t anything amazing or out of this world. The only thing that made it taste better was the flavor of...
