Ordered a cake two years ago, had to bring my own toy since they didn't have it and didn't charge me any extra decoration since they didn't have the toy. When I came to pick up the two cakes I ordered, neither of them were ready, even though I showed up an hour late. Waited another hour and when I came to pick it up, they gave me an older cake from the front and my iron man themed cake. The tres leche cake was very good so that's why I returned two years later to order another cake. The cake decorator tells me she doesn't have the toy I want for the cake and that they have been out of many toys for 3 months. So I suggested that I bring my own toy and they just decorate it in spiderman colors. She then tells me they are still charging me the $7 extra they normally charge if they have the toy because of the extra decoration. I am a cake decorator myself and am appalled at the extra charge for just red dye and blue trim. I didn't even want anything complicated, just spiderman colors. Talked to another employee and explained the situation and how its unfair to charge me when I'm having to supply my own toy and they agreed to not charge me. After waiting for my boyfriend arrived, another gentlemen took my order and proceeds to tell me he's charging me extra $7. I shouldn't have to argue this many times to get a very simple situation to understand. he just kept telling me the labor involved is why they charge extra. That if I want to pay the base price they are only frosting the cake in white and no trim. Even though the cake displayed had mocha frosting, caramel dripping, mocha rosettes, sliced strawberries and mango slices. Somehow that is less work then getting a cake frosted in plain white or my simple request of red and blue. Very untrained staff, untrained assistant managers and front managers that they couldn't clearly see the unfair charges I was receiving. Left unhappy, unsatisfied, cakeless and will...

Read moreI forgot to put my review as to why I did a 1 star. I don't normally come to this store but I decided that I would since now its on my way home from work and thought maybe I would start coming for my quick go to store before heading home but I was looking for assistance in the fresh produce area but stood there and looked around even went to the seafood and cheese area and nothing, no assistance, no how can I help you. So I decided to go pay, I had a total of 6 things, all the lines were full even the 1 line for 15 items or less. I was in that line literally over 10 minutes. The cashier had to call the manager 3 times over the speaker for the same customer and after the 3rd time she came. It was 4 people in front of me, next thing I turned I had about 6 people behind me when they decided to open another 15 item cashier. It took me less than a minute to pay and letsl not forget the cashier not putting my stuff inside the bag I brought. I guess if you don't buy a bag they won't bag your stuff, does that mean I should get my stuff cheaper for bit using that service? So the quick in and out store run turned into over 20 minutes. I honestly rather go to the other Mexican store behind my house and get my stuff bagged and out of there in 2 hot seconds. I understand the store might get unexpectedly busy but don't you think the managers should watch for customer service and what areas need...
