I apologize for the accidental one star review. My phone does things in my pockets sometimes on it’s own. However since we’re here, I would like to comment on how nice and friendly the staff is. They always greet me with a smile and make small conversation that makes my visits memorable. The produce section is very clean and well kept. The vegetables look great but I can’t say the same about the fruits. The hot food cafeteria style has a yummy selection. Are used to eat here a lot but found myself becoming more distant when I started tasting dryness from the pre cooked meats left in the warmer too long, and not fresh. Had One of the best tasting stews a few weeks ago. I bought a small cup that literally gave me five bites before I finished it. For the price of $5 bucks I’d rather enjoy a soup from other local restaurants for a few bucks more, a meal that would satisfy my hunger. Lines tend to be long during peek hours that cause us to be restless and impatient. Especially when people bring out there EBT and other free food programs checks that cause the lines to wait even longer. I feel if you get free food then you should have a separate cashier to handle those transactions. And leave faster lanes for people paying with their hard worked for cash. Dylan and Rafa are great managers that are always helping staff and customers. Otherwise Overall good experience.

They must have remodeled recently because it's now brighter and looks more open. The meat and cheese counters are new and look way better than before. I hadn't been there in a while, so to me the fact that the deli area is now self serve is new. Things like goat birria and carnitas , are still behind the counter amd you have to ask for them. I don't live too close to this store, but it's my go-to desti action to buy everything for Christmas dinner: dried bacalao, fresh emeritus, huauzontles. Highly recommended! Tienen de todo lo que uno necesita para hacer comida mexicana, muy buena selección de frutas, verduras y todo tipo de carnes!

This grocery store is everything, I wish I wasn't so far for me. I will be back for sure once a month. The soup bar? Amazing the salsa bar? Insane the Acquafresca selection? I can't even. The prepared meats have me drooling, I lived off of the birria for a week. That and the cheese, they have one in the cheese bar that is like a spicy string cheese. Shred that on top of tortilla chips, put it under broil til it's melted, top with the Birria, onions and cilantro, and enjoy with their avocado salsa, I am dreaming about it. I simply cannot.

Ordered a cake two years ago, had to bring my own toy since they didn't have it and didn't charge me any extra decoration since they didn't have the toy. When I came to pick up the two cakes I ordered, neither of them were ready, even though I showed up an hour late. Waited another hour and when I came to pick it up, they gave me an older cake from the front and my iron man themed cake. The tres leche cake was very good so that's why I returned two years later to order another cake. The cake decorator tells me she doesn't have the toy I want for the cake and that they have been out of many toys for 3 months. So I suggested that I bring my own toy and they just decorate it in spiderman colors. She then tells me they are still charging me the $7 extra they normally charge if they have the toy because of the extra decoration. I am a cake decorator myself and am appalled at the extra charge for just red dye and blue trim. I didn't even want anything complicated, just spiderman colors. Talked to another employee and explained the situation and how its unfair to charge me when I'm having to supply my own toy and they agreed to not charge me. After waiting for my boyfriend arrived, another gentlemen took my order and proceeds to tell me he's charging me extra $7. I shouldn't have to argue this many times to get a very simple situation to understand. he just kept telling me the labor involved is why they charge extra. That if I want to pay the base price they are only frosting the cake in white and no trim. Even though the cake displayed had mocha frosting, caramel dripping, mocha rosettes, sliced strawberries and mango slices. Somehow that is less work then getting a cake frosted in plain white or my simple request of red and blue. Very untrained staff, untrained assistant managers and front managers that they couldn't clearly see the unfair charges I was receiving. Left unhappy, unsatisfied, cakeless and will...

This NORTHGATE MARKET Location is a real MERCADO. It's huge, clean, well stocked, very organized.

Their produce section is very well assorted with the right ingredients for the seasonal celebrations. In this case Dia De Muertos.

However, they also will customize your orders in their respective sections: Bakery (Full Size and made to order) 2. Charcuterie - very well assorted meats and cheeses. All types of garnishments for the FIESTA. A well stock (grab and go) of fine cuts of meats (pork, turkey, chicken, beef) - AND SEA FOOD A dedicated Butcher Shop - cuts made to order A Hot READY TO EAT - SELF SERVE FOOD STATION A 10 different type of Salsa and Guacamole Station A HOT FOOD DEPARTMENT where you can find roasted, meats, moles, masa, soap de arroz, Mariscos, etc. An on-site Tortilleria where they make their OWN, including mass for tamales, tostadas, huarachez, sopes, etc. They hace a huge clean dining tables

Other than that they have your typical grocery aisles.

They also have other products they sell such as Cricket Phones, Metro PCS, Loan Services and Mexican insurance.

And 2 RedBox Movie and Game Rental kiosks.

It is in a huge shopping mall where you have other options such as Jack in The box, CVS Pharmacy, etc.

Always available parking and very ample, too.

And the perk is it's off the entrance/exit to highway 805 North and South.

I'm unaware of the other stores, however, I am reviewing this store since it's only a mile...

I forgot to put my review as to why I did a 1 star. I don't normally come to this store but I decided that I would since now its on my way home from work and thought maybe I would start coming for my quick go to store before heading home but I was looking for assistance in the fresh produce area but stood there and looked around even went to the seafood and cheese area and nothing, no assistance, no how can I help you. So I decided to go pay, I had a total of 6 things, all the lines were full even the 1 line for 15 items or less. I was in that line literally over 10 minutes. The cashier had to call the manager 3 times over the speaker for the same customer and after the 3rd time she came. It was 4 people in front of me, next thing I turned I had about 6 people behind me when they decided to open another 15 item cashier. It took me less than a minute to pay and letsl not forget the cashier not putting my stuff inside the bag I brought. I guess if you don't buy a bag they won't bag your stuff, does that mean I should get my stuff cheaper for bit using that service? So the quick in and out store run turned into over 20 minutes. I honestly rather go to the other Mexican store behind my house and get my stuff bagged and out of there in 2 hot seconds. I understand the store might get unexpectedly busy but don't you think the managers should watch for customer service and what areas need...
