Mountain View/Beckwourth Branch Library — Attraction in San Diego

There was a time a library used to mean something. I guess that time has passed. If you want to sit quietly and study/read this is not the place. However, if you want to listen to screaming children, loud phone conversations and/or the constant shrieks of mentally disabled then this is the place for you. Amidst the dilapidated facilities prepare for an audio/visual assault. You would have an easier time trying to study in the middle of Balboa park or a busy strip mall. At least it...

Small library. Plenty of tables and places to read; public PCs available, wifi here. Outlets are few and far between, however.

One oddity about this library: it is a very noisy library. If you're looking for a place to get lost in a book, study, or just peace and quiet... this library is not built for that. Bring headphones (or ear plugs) to drown out...

I want to mention Pedro who is a tutor at this library. He is Amazing and such a great teacher . His dedication to the kids including my children is truly admirable, and I am grateful for all the extra time and effort he puts in to help them succeed with their homework. I can tell he loves what he does and as A parent I truly appreciate him....
