I’ve been a loyal customer of Pretty Please for years—even back when they had a location in Carmel Mountain. I’ve always loved their clothing and have supported them time and time again (as shown by my punch cards with 32 punches, representing $1,600 spent just on those cards alone).
That’s why I was so disappointed by the customer service during my visit today. I asked if they could hold a few dresses for me while I quickly browsed neighboring stores—including Daisy Blue, their sister store—and Brenda told me they could only hold them for 30 minutes. It was 4pm on a slow Tuesday afternoon, and they don’t close until 6pm. That kind of rigid, impersonal policy—especially toward a long-time customer—felt dismissive and completely out of touch.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, I received their April birthday discount email at the beginning of this month, which was sent to over 350 recipients without using BCC. That means every customer’s email address was exposed to everyone else on the list—a serious breach of privacy and basic email protocol. It’s careless and unprofessional, and it shows a lack of respect for their customers’ personal information.
Between the poor customer service and the privacy violation, I can no longer support this business. I’d recommend shopping elsewhere—there are plenty of small businesses that respect and value their customers both...
Read moreThis is possibly my FAVORITE boutique in San Diego. The clothes are super cute, they’re always rotating through different pieces and they have a great variety. The quality is good and the prices are reasonable.
The jewelry options are also great. Lots of different pieces and every time there’s something new.
But truly the highlight is the women who work here. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. They are helpful but also do a great job of “reading the room” and knowing if you are looking for more attention or just good on your own. They hype you up when something is cute without trying to push everything you try on to you to make a sale. I almost never walk out without having bought something.
Last night I had honestly one of the most special shopping experiences ever. Brenda was working and it was towards the end of the day so it was quiet. I told her what I was looking for and she pulled some really great options. We ended up having just the very best talk about some wonderful things going on in both of our lives. She’s truly so genuine, kind and helpful. I could seriously go on and on. I hope she and the owner see this, what a gem of a woman.
Thank you for always being a great store, and especially thank you for yesterday. I couldn’t have had a...
Read morePurchased a top today. Left store to go to other shops. and on way back to the car, a I noticed the same top out on their outside sales rack, I came back in indicating it was on sale- same brand, size, fabric and even print! The salesperson apologized and began the transaction for a credit of almost 50%. Then another sales associate ( hiding on the side but evident to me) told person in the middle of transaction it was a bit different style, causing her to end transaction. They have lost a customer! First, because the top was almost identical and me and the saleswoman saw it as same, therefore that discount should have been honored. On a more customer service note- the behavior I experienced is unacceptable of being treated as If I was a scammer! if you wish to retain local loyal costumers rethink your policies and perhaps offer customer...
