Sarah Hickey: The Willy Wonka of See’s

Sarah Hickey isn’t just an employee at See’s Candy — she’s a chocolate sorceress. I walked in to “just browse” (which, let’s be honest, is impossible at See’s), and Sarah greeted me with a free sample that instantly made me consider writing her into my will.

She has the kind of energy that makes you feel like every truffle you pick is part of a grand destiny. I asked for “something with nuts,” and she gave me a box so perfectly curated it could’ve been displayed in a museum. She even whispered, “Trust me on this one,” like we were in some kind of delicious spy thriller.

By the time I left, my bag was full, my wallet was lighter, and my soul was heavier… in the best chocolate-covered way possible. Sarah Hickey, you’re the reason my diet is in ruins, and I...

I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped me ... but she guided me through the many choices available to match up with what I needed. And I left with delicious samples. I truly enjoyed the experience ... and can't wait to mail my mother's birthday gift to her. (A part of her gift is See's candy ... and she doesn't have that available where she lives!...

It's Sees. The candy is good, it may not be that good for you but it sure does taste good.

I will say this, I think either they changed some of their ingredients or I am developing allergies to some Sees candies because I get itchy after I eat some of the candies now. So this limits our visits.

But I still love Sees I just wish all the pieces would love me...
