Spreckels Organ Pavilion — Local services in San Diego

I'm going to review this positively and negatively:

on the plus side: Loved it. It is a very European look. There are free concerts every Sunday at 2 p.m. sometime a sing-along the Sunday before Christmas. That's always fun.

on the minus side:

unfortunately I've had experiences where during the music pieces the noise will sometimes even almost drown out the music. while I really enjoy the open air and the free-for-all atmosphere I don't like dogs barking or children yelling or people talking in loud voices during the music it's a distraction. I've complained about this a few decades ago and they did not seem to know what to do about it. movie theaters give people reminders about noise. What an amazing experience. I was so lucky to have some extra time in San Diego and have a chance to witness a free Sunday concert. Raul, the organist, didn't just play the organ but he also told some interesting stories about the pieces he was about to play and told some facts about the organ, peppered with jokes and laughs. I didn't expect a free concert to go for more than half an hour but this was an hour long and the time just flew by.
