Be very careful here and make sure to call Corporate to confirm pricing. I spoke to corporate first and was quotes a $20/month line fee plus around $30/month for an iphone 7 with no other fees or upfront cost. The $30/month was the full $700 or so for the phone divided by 24 monthly payments. They told me there would be promos in February for Valentines Day so I should hold off and check around then.
So today, Feb 3, I was in PB and popped into this store to check it out. "Lucky you came in today!," said Mat "one of the managers". "Corporate allowed us to extend a promo an extra 3 days ending today! For just $20/month for line fee plus around $30/month for your phone plus a one time $149 fee you can walk out today." "So what's the promotion", I asked. Matt explained that the $149 was the promo and tomorrow that fee goes to $299.
I explained that corporate didn't mention any similar fee and buying direct from Apple also leaves out this fee. Mat assured me that Apple would have some other fees making their phone more expensive and that Verizon corporate outsources their help so they must not know what they're talking about. So I called corporate back and they reconfirmed their prices without any up front $149 or $299 fee. They had no idea what that fee was for.
So I told Mat what I learned and left. Another manager followed me into the parking lot and offered to meet the corporate price to save me the trouble of having to go elsewhere or call and order. I asked multiple times for him to explain the $149 or $299 fee and he kept dodging the question and trying to make a sale, offering to match corporate's price.
I left and called corporate to report the store, whereupon the tech on the phone confirmed that this was an unknown fee that they are entitled to charge at this store, but she had no idea what it was for.

Read moreI was from out of town and leaving the next morning for the desert and my phone was broken, so I was stuck with this place as the only option.
The 1st sales person had no idea what he was talking about and flat out lied to me twice, sadly I forget his name. 1st he told me the phone I wanted wasn't in stock and tried to upsell me on a more expensive model. When I said I was going to find another store they magically had it in stock.
They told me the phone I was buying wouldn't charge unless I bought one of the new 20W fast charging adapters. This is also not true as the phones will charge on a lower watt charger just slower and this is no danger to the battery, but they insisted that there was.
Next when I told him my plan wasn't eligible for the free phone upgrade and that I didn't want to change my plan he insisted that it was. I purchased the phone and on my walk back to my hotel, I received a call from the manager saying there was an issue with my discount and they needed to re-enter it and needed my authorization. What they failed to explain was without me being there behind my back they switched me to a different plan without explaining what they were doing and why.
In the end switching plans wasn't a huge deal it just would have been nice to know that's what they were doing and to explain why they were doing it.
My biggest complaint was being lied to upfront about not having the phone I wanted in stock, being told the phone wouldn't work without a particular charger, and not having the plan explained to...

Last year I pre-order the iPhone and had a terrible/ horrible experience with them. All kinds of problems happened and popped up, but ....
This year I pre-order the iPhone and had a little problem. But Vince made everything great again for me. I came into the store and asked where is my pre-ordered iPhone!!!! I haven’t received an email or anything say it’s on the way. Vince took a look and saw there was an order for one but it was never pushed through. He went into the back and found an extra one. I didn’t have time to do all the paper work and transfer everything over that day. So I asked him to save it for me for Monday. (Which was two days away). I came in at 3pm on Monday and walked out of there a hour later with a new iPhone and a brand new plan for myself.
Vince If I could give you 5 stars, I would! He helped me/ walked me through everything and didn’t try to up-sale me on anything. Very professional and super helpful. If only all the employees there could be like Vince. Then this store wouldn’t have such terrible stars.
