Powerhaus Wholesome Pizza & Eats — Restaurant in San Diego

Powerhaus is my go to pizza place in San Diego. As someone who likes more traditional pizza but has lots of friends with food allergies/restrictions this Powerhaus is a place we both love.

The first time I went in I tried the Mediterranean with "Pea-zaa" sauce and vegan cheese and it was absolutely amazing. There is no distinct "pea" flavor to the sauce and I couldn't tell that the cheese was dairy free. All the toppings tasted fresh and delicious. Second time around I went more traditional with a margarita and whole grain crust. You can definitely taste the difference when a restaurant uses quality ingredients and I appreciated that they put fresh basil on top. I love that I can indulge on a whole pizza and not get the weird/sluggish feeling you get with other pizza places.

As for the service Anisha, the owner is so attentive and you can tell she is very passionate about delivering a delicious and healthy product to her customers. I love supporting local San Diego family business. Its also a bonus that the entire restaurant is incredibly instagram worthy! The only thing that could make this place better is if they sold me their mango dressing that they have for their salads, but I'm perfectly content with coming back to eat...

Powerhouse pizza and smoothies is an amazing spot!! First the food. It’s not only delicious but health conscious as well. Anisha goes above and beyond to choose organic, whole grain, nitrate free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan options so anyone and everyone can enjoy some of our favorite comfort food and not feel the guilt that goes with it!! The pizza’s are personal pizzas but they are extremely satisfying, especially her protein crust with over 28 grams of protein!! Her smoothies are equally delicious and healthy. She offers kombucha on tap a few salads and now wraps. She is constantly updating and adding to her menu to make it an even better experience. And what an experience it is. Her space is a breathe of fresh air with open windows and incredible decor and murals. It’s an incredible indoor/outdoor space. Perfect for meeting up with friends, doing work or just relaxing and enjoying her food. She also puts on events to keep the atmosphere even more fun and interesting. Love this place and all the wholesome ingredients they stand for. I love that they offer dairy free cheese and gluten free pizza! I have tried both the GF white, and the cauliflower crust pizza. My favorite build your own GF pizza: cauliflower crust, prosciutto, arugula, vegan cheese, mushrooms with shallots, and balsamic drizzle. I ordered this for my birthday last year and this year, decided to host a birthday party at Crown Point Park and have Powerhaus cater and deliver. We ordered 18 pizzas (mix of garlic crust and GF) and a catering superfood salad. The superfood salad with the mango vinaigrette dressing was delicious!!! Everyone loved the pizza, and we had extra (since we had also brought other food and snacks), but had no problems giving our guests a box to take home =) Ordering catering through Anisha, the owner, was a great experience!
