This review has been way overdue—I’m not even sure where to start. Honestly speaking, I didn’t know there was more to yoga than meditation and stretching. I had no idea how much strength, focus, and endurance it required until I came across CorePower Yoga. As someone who worked out at the gym five days a week, I thought I had fitness figured out—until I walked into CorePower.
I was first introduced to CorePower Yoga by my husband back in 2022 during a difficult time in my life. He encouraged me to give it a shot, and I reluctantly agreed. My first class at the Pacific Beach location was booked using his buddy pass, and we chose an HPF (Hot Power Fusion) class. Let me tell you—it was a challenge! Between keeping up with the balance and postures, adjusting to the heat, and maintaining my focus, I thought, This is way harder than I expected! My heart was racing, and it felt like I had just completed a full-body workout in less than an hour.
Despite the challenge, I was hooked. I signed up for a membership immediately and kept coming back for more. I tried other classes like Sculpt and CorePower Yoga C2, each one pushing me in new ways. CorePower became more than just a workout—it became my home, my sanctuary, and my safe space.
Through consistent practice, CorePower helped me heal, both physically and emotionally. Each session allowed me to let go, break through, and come out feeling refreshed and empowered. I even stopped going to the gym for a while because CorePower became my go-to for fitness and wellness.
The Pacific Beach location holds a special place in my heart. The community and staff are nothing short of amazing. They are always so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely excited to see you. The staff treats you like family, and their warm energy makes every visit a positive experience.
This overdue review is my chance to thank every staff member at the PB location. You’ve all played a role in my journey, and I’m deeply grateful for each of you. CorePower Yoga has been transformative for me, and I’ll forever appreciate the safe and supportive space you’ve created.
Thank you...
Read moreThe class was so packed, I could not execute full movements without either someone's bare feet in my face or my feet at someone's head or hands while on the mat. Before class, the teacher announced "everyone, be 4 inches from your neighbor - if I have to come move you closer, you're not going to like it." I would have rather been waitlisted or scheduled for another class than to be in small hot room with 60+ sweaty strangers. I thought about leaving several times because of the heat (I did NOT sign up for hot yoga) and the limited space, but the instructor blocked the exit most of the class and then even called out a girl who left early saying ON THE MIC to let her know before class if she planned to leave early. Also, with all the emphasis on class starting on time, this class started 5 minutes late. Overall, my experience was utterly disgusting - opposite of what I would expect from any yoga class - and I don't...

Got a free week to try it out - okay, thats nice First class didn't get a locker because they were too full - not okay Had to walk through a yoga class to get to mine, stepping over bodies - gross Waiting 5 min for the instructor to come cutting off our time - not cool Having the instructor break to open the door to the dirty alley because it was unbearably hot - sticky gross The yoga ending with 10 minutes at the end reflecting on your week rather than doing yoga - not what this free session is about Not being able to shower because there weren't enough - sorry to the public
Surprisingly, I went back to give it a second shot ... why not its free and this time went on a tuesday at 10 AM - still pretty much the...
