This place is a real treat. PB is a place with a ton of pizza joints and it's always contentious which one os the best. This is a very strong contender. Its the kind of pizza you would expect more from one of the bougier spots up towards bird rock, they hand make all their dough, sauce, and meatballs and it really shows. Everything I've ever had there has been fantastic. Their dough really is something to write home about; its definitely the best bread sticks and pizza crust in PB. Their antipasta salad is also incredible in a weird way, antipasta salad is a pretty simple dish but theirs is just absolutely killer. Their meatballs are also out of this world. I've been to this place several times and honestly theres kind of an anxiety knowing how good everything is and how you just cant order breadsticks, meatballs, salad, and pizza for dinner. It feels like choosing between family members when you get bread sticks instead of meatballs. Its really an incredible place and not enough people in PB give it the credit it deserves.

It's a family restraunt, the head chef is the owners son or nephew, and i feel bad forgetting because shes (the owner lady) gonna kill me the next time i go in after reading this because she knows all her local customers. Its a really nice place with a sense of community that you just don't see that much anymore. Like I'm not just reccomending the pizza here, I'm reccomending making friends with this lady and her family. I'm not kidding, this pizza joint is good...

Long, sentimental review: but this place deserves it. We're from a small town but have lived in San Diego 5 years. This place puts you back in your 8000 pop town and has a real family ambiance.

Sunday nights they do piano music and when you step in you feel like you've gone into a small town local restaurant. I ordered take out and when I sat down to wait for my meal I immediately went home and grabbed my gf and mother in law so we could dine in.

The owner and staff work non stop and are incredibly friendly. First visit and I feel like we eve been there hundreds of times (and more visits to come).

Lasagna, as the menu states: it's the best in Pacific Beach and best I've had in a while. Side of bread it comes with is phenomenal. Good serving for 2 if your splitting meals.

Shrimp pesto pasta: I very much dislike pesto but this was the owners favorite dish so I went with it...and I loved it. The creamy sauce dilutes the pesto and it comes out fantastic. They also definitely don't short you on the shrimp.

Garlic cheesy bread. Phenomenal and great to have on the side of the pastas to soak up the last of the sauces.

Incredible sangria and I can't complain about having spacee dust on tap.

Piano every Sunday and it sounds like a guitarist is going to start being there on Friday. If you want a home cooked meal, with a home cooked vibe, in a hometown atmosphere then there is only one place in San Diego, Sauced Pizzeria. Highly recommend and will...

Alright here we go … we LOVE pizza. First timers at Sauced Pizzeria. Greeted immediately with a friendly smile and picked our seats. Older homey feel inside, nothing new or modern BUT loved how clean it was and the authentic look of the place. We started with the famous breadsticks and marinara sauce, SO GOOD. Hot warm perfect amount of parm, made fresh, highly recommend. Then we had the meatballs. Tasty, sauce was good, cheese on top melted and good. Meatballs were ok, I was hoping for a little more flavor or garlic. Then pizza time … SO GOOD. The pizza was thin but a great crust. We got two pizzas one was half four cheese and pep with the other half four cheese pep and jalapeño. Then we got the chicken pesto with sun dried tomato VERY GOOD! Service was over the top AWESOME. The owner Christina greeted us and checked in often but not overbearing. Super sweet and friendly. Told us about the place and how she started. Staff all seemed happy to be there. Prices seemed fair not cheap but not pricey. And then last but not least because you know this will make or break a place for me, the bathroom was so clean. Also noticed they have an “A” rating so that was super cool. I mean this is the spot yall gotta check it out! See the pics!

Parking not ideal but not their fault the laundry place has every spot claimed. We parked across street....

**Review for Sauced Pizzeria** We visited Sauced Pizzeria on a Sunday at 6:30 pm, just an hour and a half before their closing time at 8:00 pm. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the warm, old-school ambiance and the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant. The friendly hostess greeted us with a smile, quickly seated us, and handed us the menu. Soon after, Christina, the owner, came over to assist us. She was incredibly welcoming and friendly, taking the time to suggest the best items on the menu based on our preferences. Her recommendations did not disappoint. We ordered the Garlic Cheesy Breadsticks, Meatballs, and a sun-dried tomato, pesto, and chicken pizza. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The marinara sauce, in particular, stood out as something special. The food exceeded all our expectations, and the impeccable service from Christina and her team made our experience even better. We will definitely be returning many times and highly recommend Sauced Pizzeria to our neighbors and friends.

I used to go to Marino's back in the day. It was one of my favorite mom and pop italian places. This place is now under new ownership, but the service, friendliness and food are still fantastic. The atmosphere has an old dark atmosphere, like something out of a mob movie. I had the garlic noodles with chicken and the meatballs. The noodles was angelhair with just the right amount of drenched garlic. It was great to have this type of option for a lighter pasta dish. The meatballs have cheese inside them. The balls are tender enough for substance, yet soft and flavorful at the same time. I'm italian, and honestly, they might be better than my mothers. Don't tell on me please. Aside from the food, the woman who runs the place was on top of it. Friendly and hardworking, you can tell she cares about the place. If you are looking for an old school dining experience with greater food, check out sauced in PB. There should be more places that provide this kind of quality, affordability and friendliness.
