Jeny’s Yin Foundations class was worth every cent. Jeny is a master teacher and truly understands how people learn. Although the 3 day training had long hours there wasn’t a second during the training that I felt bored. She offers written, visual, and hands-on learning tools for the topics including dances and contests! She structures the class to include plenty of breaks, too, which helped the learning process. The training opened my eyes further to yin yoga but even more so opened my eyes to the uniqueness and beauty of each human body, down to the bones. I forever about how impactful and, dare I say, life changing this training has been for me. Simply put, I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Honorable mention for Kate for her awesome Sound Healing 101. It definitely just scratched the surface but it was really beneficial to be able to touch, feel, and play the instruments ourselves to feel the vibration firsthand. As someone who proclaimed to “hate sound healing” I’ve come away from the training with a true appreciation. The only reason I hated it is because it’s exactly what I needed.
UPDATE: I recently took the Level 2 Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Jeny and it was exactly what I needed to become a more confident Yin Yoga teacher. Jeny took a hands on approach to building our confidence through lots of practice teaching, focus on cuing, and loads of examples of language to inspire our creativity. We also had a deeper dive into sound healing with Jen Innocenti and got to incorporate the instruments into our practice teachings as well! It was such a great experience and again I left feeling confident and with my teaching tool bag full of useful tips...
Read moreI experienced my first Chakra Meditation Sound Bath with Zen Soul Balance about a month and a half ago with a friend. This 90 minute session was both incredibly moving and healing. With every chakra, a different instrument was played, allowing for more openness and thoughtfulness in that area. Each instrument gave off a different vibration or frequency and I felt them deeply. One moment that I appreciated was the cleansing sound of the bowl to bring us "back to now" or to the current moment. I didn't realize how much that simple sound and message would resonate with me for weeks to follow. I have since made this a daily practice in my meditation and when I feel moments of stress or worry, I bring myself back to now. There were a few chakra sounds that, for a lack of a better word, hit home for me. One was the heart chakra. I have been dealing with some heartache and grief related to the recent loss of my parents and I felt deeply emotional with this element. It was interesting to be able to experience that in a class setting, without judgment and full of care and love. I think that speaks volumes (no pun intended) to the work and care you put in to these sessions. Thank you for a lovely experience and I look forward to attending again soon! - I have also shared my experience with many of my colleagues, friends, and some interested acquaintances and given them information regarding your organization and sessions. I know some of them plan to attend and I look forward to hearing the stories of their sessions from them....
Read moreDear Jenny, I can hardly put into words how absolutely amazing your sound bath was, it is hard to describe the fantastic experience, but i will do my best. I was in one of your sound bath groups but from the very beginning I felt encased in a protective bubble of utter peace and relaxation. How you walked around the room with the chimes and wave sounding instruments, was astounding! Each different instrument you played and your soft voice put me deeper and deeper into that tranquil state. Most of the time I literally felt my arms and legs were floating though in reality I was laying comfortably on one of your mats. I just remember thinking "are your arms really floating? Yes they are!" The MOST incredible thing, though, happened to me after leaving your sound bath, while eating supper with friends. You see, I had a stroke a couple months before the sound bath, was left with what is called "aphasia", the difficulty of verbally expressing myself. Directly after the sound bath, my friends brought to my attention, how clearly I was talking much, much better than before the bath. Truly you are a healer! A Wonderful healer! My only regret is that I was just traveling through the San Diego area on a trip, so I cannot take part, regularly, in your healing sound baths either in groups or, what I would love to do is book private sessions with you. I definitely will be doing that when I am once again anywhere close to you! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!! 71...
