i would give less than 1 star if i could. i went for keratin treatment, the service was good but the hair dresser (Steffon) charged me for more than we had agreed on when i walked in. initially i had a $72 groupon coupon. he suggested to upgrade to $230 for a better solution and wrote this number on a piece of paper for me. i made some jokes that i am a student and i can’t pay that much and i was bargaining on $200. it was so clear that i am thinking that the $230 is the final cost. then after he started putting the solution on my hair, he said “some people don’t understand that an upgrade means in addition to the $72”. i said you should have told me in the beginning, he laughed and said “yes some people don’t understand”. after he was done, i said you did not explain how much you were charging me and i will only pay for the $230. he said “you are the only one who doesn’t understand what an upgrade is” and then LOCKED THE DOOR ON ME!! i immediate called the police. it took over an hour and the police did not show up so i ended up paying what he demanded just to get out of there and not waste more time. while i was waiting for the police he kept threatening that he will put me in jail and will charge me for the customer that left because he was locking the door!! i never even tried to leave without paying, i was just negotiating with him and wanted him to admit that he did not explain the price to me. so i don’t under why he...

Episode salon sold me a groupon for 69 dollar treatment. Their fine print said extra long or thick hair subject to extra charge. My hair is 3 inches below shoulder length and very thin. They charged me 30 extra for the treatment (50% more). They said their fine print allowed them to charge when clear it does not. I asked them to tell me if my hair is considered extra long an would merit extra cost. They would not admit that. They were incredibly rude, defiant on solving the problem and completely unprofessional. They also tried to upsell me a trim for 60 dollars and upsell me to the normal express treatment for 150 more. Clearly they are using low prices to lure people in and then charge additional fees. , If you are buying a groupon do not use this vendor, the experience was beyond unpleasant. I booked an appointment with Stephan and told him I had a Groupon. No mention of an upcharge for "long hair". I put that in quotes because my hair barely passes my shoulders. But I should back up. I tried to reschedule, but he talked me into keeping my appointment on that day, but we agreed I could come an hour later at 4:00. I received a call that he was running 15 mins late, no biggie.
