The Mission Cultural Center for the Arts has become the final hold out in San Francisco for Latinx, Chicano, Feminist, and new movements in spiritual contemporary art. The center has maintained its community first climate with its creative classes, Carnival, and Chicano prints as the Mission District struggles to pull itself out of the post pandemic financial crisis.

I attended Noche Mexicana on Sep 14 with my friend and we had a great time. They had a few vendors selling artesanías in the lobby and an array of art presentations (Ballet folclórico, mariachi, and a gallery). We learned a lot about the role of the Center on the local culture and it was a welcoming environment.

What an amazing night! The San Francisco International Arts Festival held its opening night performance at the mission cultural Center, with a play by Cassandra production from Denmark, and a lovely reception afterward, where theater doors got to meet with and engage with the actors. This was incredible!

I took my mother to see a noon play written and directed by a respected local writer, activist, and lifelong community theater supporter. The theater is beautiful and very intimate. We had a wonderful time. There's an art display in the lobby that is a must-see. There's also an opportunity to purchase local artist's works. If you're in the City and considering checking out the art gallery (on the 2nd floor) or a play, don't hesitate and just do it. You will...

The place where all community is welcome and interconnected through the practice of shared creativity! Music, art, dance, lessons, performances, art gallery, theater, printing arts, podcasting and community meeting space! Plus the staff is super nice, friendly, helpful, patient, and fun!

Phew, what...
