I was really excited to try this new ice cream spot, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the hype. First off, the ordering process is super confusing. There’s no clear flow for the line, and you’re left guessing what each flavor is as you’re moved from one end of the counter to the other. For a brand new place, it definitely needs a better setup, especially when customers are still learning what’s on the menu.
The biggest issue, though, is the customer service. I’ve been here twice now. The first visit, we were helped by a really friendly guy (wish I got his name!), but the rest of the team seemed irritated, short, and honestly just uninterested in being there. On our second visit, we were rushed and made to feel like we were a burden for not knowing what we wanted yet. I mean… it’s a brand new place! We’re still trying to figure it out. And we weren’t the only ones feeling this way, other customers around us voiced similar frustrations.
What really left a bad taste was the attitude. The girl with purple hair in particular was passive aggressive and rude to multiple people. My sister simply asked to use the restroom and was met with unnecessary attitude, as if she should’ve magically known where it was.
The whole staff seemed disconnected, no communication, no coordination, and definitely no warmth. It’s like they resented having to deal with customers at all.
Honestly, this place could be great. The ice cream itself is delicious. But if they don’t seriously work on their customer service and team dynamic, it’s going to drive people away. First impressions matter, and right now, they’re falling short.
Hoping they can turn it around, because the product...
Read moreAngela’s is an absolute gem and a much-welcomed addition to the neighborhood. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you want to linger. The space is beautifully designed, with a cozy yet vibrant feel that works equally well for a casual afternoon treat or a night out with friends.
The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Basque cheesecake ice cream, it’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, with that distinctive caramelized cheesecake flavor shining through. It’s one of those desserts you try once and immediately start craving again.
The staff here truly elevate the experience. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they serve, which makes every visit feel special. You can tell there’s a real passion behind the place, from the quality of the ingredients to the thought put into the menu.
In short, Angela’s is exactly what this area needed: a spot that combines great flavors, exceptional service, and a welcoming vibe. Whether you’re here for dessert, a coffee, or just to relax with friends, it’s bound to...
Read moreI was happy to see this place was opening a block away from me. I'd visited the Petaluma location and found their ice cream to be high quality. Unfortunately this new Noe Valley location gets an F for experience. There is no clear line to wait in, and people mill about randomly hoping one of the staff will notice them. Which is a long shot. And like Garden Creamery and Bi-Rite, they indulge people who want to stand at the counter and taste every flavor. While customers who actually would like to buy ice cream end up feeling invisible. The first ice cream place to figure out how to create an efficient, dedicated line for buyers is going to win the hearts of the community and facilitate a whole lot more sales. Also, this place does not accept cash, so you're forced to interact with the screen that tries to guilt you into leaving a 30% tip on top of the $7.25 price for a smaller-than-usual...
