Hoooooly Smokes. What a wonderful, outgoing, and helpful staff. I felt like I was at a family BBQ. I have quite a few dietary restrictions so its hard for me to eat at certain places. Thankfully, these fine folk had no issues breaking down what was what for me. This might not seem like a big deal to most, but for some others this is huge. Now onto the food. Hoo'boy. I had a chance to sample a quite a few things on their menu. Their brisket.... the only word that could come to mind was IMMACULATE. The flavors were absolutely perfect, and here's the kicker- I dont even LIKE brisket. It was all so good, but then I ate an end piece and WOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It was so good, I almost felt angry. I wanted to go back to Mr. Pickles and Ms. Smoke and stare at them with my hands on my hips, like a skeptical parent. What was this magic that I had just tasted? Turkey is often my least favorite amongst varieties of meat, but not today. Its covered in cracked, black pepper, very moist, very juicy, and drizzled with a delicious sort of aioli. There is no shortage of flavor here. This changed my mind about turkey.
Would I eat here again? Absolutely. Should you eat here? Why is that even a question? Go get the keys, go grab the kids or the wife or whatever you gotta do and go get some wholesome, delicious...
Read moreI am not a meat and potatoes kind but when I had David’s food at the Factory Bar two weeks ago, I was blown away by the genius of this artist. The Mac N cheese was out of this world. Also, when I arrived at the bar that day, I never thought my stomach could hold anything because I had an upset stomach but, after I had David’s Mac N cheese and the BBQ ribs, I felt healed. That is the healing power of comfort food. I wish every doctor had a chef as an assistant, it is really about the food. What you eat...

We sat outside and saw a tent for Pickles N Smoke. We decided to try their brisket with slaw and macaroni. So good! Brisket had a lot of flavor. Slaw is vinegar based so it is nice and light. Macaroni had a good texture.
So good, in fact, I ended up ordering another plate to try their pork ribs. Delicious as well!
Staff is friendly.
It will only be a matter of time before they make a huge name for themselves!
Be sure to keep up with their pop ups if you ever want to...
