Quince Spa — Local services in San Francisco

I used to come here all the time and recently I had a horrible experience with them that am shocked they did after years of me coming here. So be careful because if they screw up they won’t fix their own mistake without charging you. I went for a regular pedicure and they did the following: I requested a regular white pedicure polish with silver design. Not gel because I never get gel on my toes. The person who did my nails used regular nail polish and made a mistake of using gel nail polish to draw the design on my nails then dried it with a regular fan and came back to realize the color all melted on each other because she accidentally used gel nail polish on top of regular nail polish. It was the end of the day and they were closing so she said come back and we will remove the gel nail polish and repaint it free of charge because it’s our mistake. I told her am traveling and won’t be back for few weeks and she said fine. Four weeks later I go back and they had the audacity to pretend they don’t remember and that it’s been many months so I told them the date and the staff who did it also confirmed and they still charged me for removing that gel nail polish they applied for me and didn’t fix it for free like they said. I wasn’t going to review this if it was just about getting charged but it’s how rude they were and how they kept lying even with me showing them the receipt dates that it had been months. So next time any nail place makes a mistake I won’t pay until they fix it, I not only paid but also tipped well when they did it with the confidence they were going to fix their own mistake free of charge but they didn’t.

Before buying the Groupon, I stopped by and asked if I could pay extra for an upgraded service. They said it would be just $12 more and told me to come back in an hour. I waited nearby, came back, and once the service had already started, a different employee told me it would actually be $45 more. They blamed the earlier staff member and were rude and dismissive when I tried to explain. At that point, I felt stuck and just went with the basic service.

The worst part was the quality. My toes were scratched, one was bleeding, the tech wasn’t wearing gloves, and the polish was already ruined before I even left. It all felt careless and unhygienic.

The ladies there are the best, I tried on 3 different colors and she played with 1 or two layer of the polish to see which one I wanted for my wedding. The manicure was done so well, they are extremely good at what they do and very professional. They make sure that there are ZERO bubbles on your nails! Lady on the phone that I booked the appointment with gave really good recommendations for wedding colors and made sure I wrote them down cus she wasn’t going to be there when I got there. 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻 thank you!
