Loard’s Ice Cream & Sandwiches — Restaurant in San Francisco

Initially, I came here with my boyfriend just to get a sweet treat and some good ice cream. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they also served sandwiches! My boyfriend was especially happy as he worked up quite an appetite on our day out. We tried the horchata, mocha almond fudge, and champagne sherbet ice cream. All three flavors absolutely blew our minds, champagne sherbet is a unique flavor that would be worth a trip to Loard's all on its own. The sandwich came out pretty fast after we finished our ice cream. There was a wide selection of sandwich ingredients, all of which tasted very fresh. The French roll was also soft and easy to bite through. Honestly, we'd be willing to drive into the city just to get another sandwich from here. June 2024: Stopped by for lunch and ordered a turkey 🦃 sandwich with pepper jack cheese on a Dutch crunch roll.

Mistake I made was not asking for my sandwich to be toasted and my sandwich was dry. Bread was not 💯% fresh. Next time, I would request the sandwich be toasted if the bread wasn't fresh. Could have used more mayo.

My wife had a hot coppa sandwich on a French roll. She liked her sandwich a lot more than I did. Her sandwich had more mayo than mine.

Next time, I will try one of their signature sandwiches. Service was friendly.

Drove past the neighborhood and noticed the ice cream shop was open. I came in with the intention of just getting ice cream but I was surprised to see they also sold sandwiches! I decided to try out their California sandwich, and I was blown away by how amazing it was. The flavors were perfectly balanced.
