I wanted to give my soon-to-be-wife something very special at our wedding. I had an image in my head of some diamond earrings, but couldn't find just the right thing anywhere. This was not a Silicon Valley "unlimited budget" endeavor—and I'd never bought real fine jewelry (aside from the engagement ring). Robin suggested that he could make something one-of-a-kind and custom. That sounded exciting, but also prohibitively expensive. But, he seemed to understand what I was after, so I took the leap. Although my budget was small, I always felt that the project was important to him. At the time, I worked just down the hill from the shop. Some days at lunch time, I'd walk up to see the progress. Robin and Galina were always so patient and seemed happy to explain each step. The end result was a huge success, and it felt so much more meaningful than something purchased off-the-rack.

Robin Woolard Jewlers IS a jewel! Of the many jewelry establishments that my wife and I have made purchases from, this one is in a league of it's own. Galina recently designed such an original and beautiful 18k gold pendant with diamonds ( that have my wife's initials in the center) that it made my wife gasp! It literally took her breath away. For our convenience Galina had the store opened on a Sunday so we could pick it up - no one does that. On one occasion Robin Woolards completely re-made a 15k diamond ring at their own expense because we simply changed our mind on the size: They did this with such easy grace that I was struck by it.
