HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT APPLE UNION SQUARE, 03-01-2022:
I have been purchasing products from this store since 2011 and have noticed a total lack of customer service interest on the part of the management and employees. Most employees here are overly casual and careless. I have complained to the store managers about a couple of negative experiences in the last 7 years—my overall experience has been so-so; most employees here are not as knowledgeable of Apple products as they should be. Most of them are inexperienced. I have also noticed that they do not care about having empathy towards their customers.
For instance, today, after having purchased a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro online and after having obtained a battery replacement here for an old MacBook Pro 2013, a team leader named "Travis" and a manager named "Christina" on site kicked me out of the store—the store was closing—after they claimed I was "disrespectful" to their team leader. What had just happened is that I was dissatisfied when the team leader made no effort in giving me a compensation after I showed him that my old MacBook's newly replaced battery was not able to handle what it takes to run today's macOS—I showed him how my newly replaced battery was being depleted even while performing very simple tasks on this old MacBook. He told me there is nothing he could do for me and proceeded to kick me out of the store. And as I was packing my old MacBook and getting ready to leave, the manager came to me and asked me if she could try to help me. After the team leader and I told her what had happened, she had one or two suggestions about compensating me with a discount for a purchase of accessories for my new MacBook Pro. As we began to look for accessories for my new Mac, I told the team leader how unsatisfied I was with his attitude and I stared at him in defiance. In return, the team leader stared at me in defiance, reacting to my stare, and the manager decided to kick me out of the store immediately, informing me that I am welcome to come back "tomorrow or any other day as long as I am respectful."
Basically, there were not that many options at all to get a courtesy discount at their store today, because they practically have no products at the store—they have no MacBooks, no iPads, etc, and they said they cannot give me discounts on Apple Watches since my complaint has to do with my MacBook battery replacement. Therefore, there is basically no options for me to get a discount. And because they felt that I was disrespectful to them, they felt totally free to kick me out of their store, even after I recently had purchased an iPad Pro and a MacBook Pro and even after the fact that I have been their loyal customer since 2011. In other words, because they make very good and reliable products that the public has to depend on, products such as the iPad, iPhone, and Mac computers, they know the public has no option other than buying from them and thus they feel free to treat the public like trash.
I am now in the process of finding out how to submit an official complaint. The team leader who treated me unkindly is "Travis" and the manager's name is "Christina." This was a thoroughly disappointing and sad experience...
Read moreI was treated like an outcast a person of suspicion the police cruised me at the genius bar they scanned the serial # of the machine which broke the cover and I was there on behalf of my friend who arrived as I was leaving. yes an activation lock was inhibiting the genius bar from going forward but my friend arrived w/ the reciept the email address, the genius bar was Not full and the nearest employee at the bar did not engage with me at all. But when I was not looking She made a scoul at me that was so bad my friend saw it and was so taken back He was going to ask her if she had a problem with me sitting down at my seat. But he refrained but noticed the look on her face as If looks could kill I would be dead. And I noticed + he rest of the staff were short spoken to me Never said take your time with the stullation of the operating system that I had enough problems already why would I want to unplug it and come against a possible challenge. I didn't see anyone else behaving any different than me and interactions with the security and police were brought into the space. T hey were cronal and their attention was from their body langage and too me was not casual. And they normally cruise but when I was there the previous Night they seem to recieve a message from workers to come up. the day I was scould at two cops pranced by me obviously to make their presence known. So objectively speaking Apple employees called to guys with guns to breath down my Neck while I was at the genius bar. After feeding all this and while th computer was working. I had nothing to do so I went to get starbucks and as I was leaving I asked if I could go and come back while the machine is plugged into the ethernet and the employee said that he did see a problem but didn't tell any one else but just said that he was going to the back and walked away. So Can Apple and the employees give me some idea about what they were thinking ? And Did they think I was unable to read the room? the employee that scowled At me it was truly an act of hate .... they were in a glass room, throwing stores, and this is the sound it makes. I have my friend as witness so...
