I have been to the San Gabriel office twice. The office is very busy. The waiting time is about 45 minutes. I was being seen quickly by a PA each time with a short consultation. Dr. Danesh came in later to spend about 1 minute or less to talk to me, but his manner was okay.
The PA I saw more than a year ago had a good manner. The one I saw last Friday had no patience. Be prepared in advance before talking to the doctor, otherwise, you won’t able to know what your diagnosis is. (I believe that this only happens to mild cases like mine.)
If you want your prescription to be faxed to your pharmacy, be prepared to have its fax number for the office staff. If your family doctor wants to know the result of your diagnosis, be prepared to have his / her fax number for Dr. Danesh's office. For safety sake, I would call the office two weeks after the procedure when the result is available, request a copy of the result which is to be authorized by Dr. Danesh and bring it to the family doctor’s office. That’s what I did for my 1st operative result.
On my 2nd visit to the office, it was a Friday that the office only opens in the morning. My pharmacy requested doctor to make an alternative prescription (I guess that the original prescription was not covered by my insurance.) I also called the office to follow up on this issue. I got a reply from the office on the next Monday morning. I called back the office to verify the unclear message. I was being asked the name of the person who called me, I said: “it is from Dr. Danesh’s office’s regarding a prescription change.”, I was being transferred to a nurse and asked to leave a message, someone will call me back in 24 hours. I called again and gave the receptionist my pharmacy’s phone number. The receptionist said: “Dr. is very busy, I don’t know when he will call the pharmacy.”.
According to their “Post operative skin care” instructions, if …, call the office in case of emergency or go to the emergency room. God bless we patients don’t have to call the office, otherwise, wish we luck !!!
Meanwhile, I am still waiting for the prescription to be picked up as my skin is so itchy.
This is a follow-up review for the above issues.
The lady who consulted me in my 2nd office visit was a FNP, not a PA. She called me on Monday afternoon and asked me whether my pharmacy is a big pharmacy. It’s CVS. The new medicine was ready in the late evening.
The doctor’s office had noticed my previous review. Yesterday Dr. Danesh called me to follow up the condition of my wound healing. I emailed him with the picture of my wound. He asked me to see him this morning. He checked my wound and eczema. He told me that he called CVS yesterday to find out that I had already picked up the new medicine. He gave me a big smile, moisturizer samples and a bottle of antiseptic medicine for free. He will call me when my biopsy report is out. He will sent my report to my PCP, he got my PCP’s phone number. He gave me his cell phone number. At last, he mentioned about my previous review.
My previous review is to state the poor telephone manner of the 2 receptionists. The first one asked me what medicine was prescripted. Every patient wants the medicine(s) for treatment ASAP. Patient should get the office response after office hours in case of prescription problem or urgent health issues. My concern is hoping that we patients will be better treated in future.
I would like to upgrade the review from 2 to 3.5 asterisks, seeing that there is no half asterisk, I upgrade it to 4, not because of the free samples, as I don’t really need them, but I really appreciate Dr....
Read moreI was astounded by all the 5 star reviews and then I saw he’s pairs his business with his wife who’s also Dr. Danesh in Beverly Hills. However at this location you just get him and he’s AWEFUL. literally the worst. He’s dirty and unprofessional. And will be a complete waste of your time or scar you permanently. Probably both. I would avoid this guy at all costs if you have any serious issues or need surgical treatment. I went in for something I thought would be simple. My toenail is messed up I thought fungus. Staff physically injured me ( bleeding in my nail bed) getting a sample by being rough. Told me since the test was negative I was fine (while my skin is literally peeling around my nail) I went back and he looked at me for one second then told me he needs to remove my entire nail for another test. This...
Read moreThis guy sucks ! I have Been going to him for more than at least 3 years , just because of the Trentein cream and acid solution , it had helped my skin for sure , but the the dr himself is so rude , he is so rushed when you get to talk to him , and doesn’t even say anything to you . He interrupts you and looks at your face for a good 3 mins and prescribes you what he thinks will help you and leaves! You have any questions you have to talk to the little assistants there . He literally does not do anything he’s like a little king in a castle , looks at you and says okay I think this and this will help and boom he walks out and the assistants make it work ! I don’t know just something I had to let out. I can tell he’s a nice guy , but is it do damn hard to give your clients some Patience...
