Wish I had the option of zero stars.
I had a disappointing shopping experience at Aldo in Valley Fair Mall on Saturday, February 1st, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. My friend and I entered the store, ready to purchase multiple pairs of shoes, but we were completely ignored by the two employees working at the time.
Despite the store being nearly empty—with only four customers inside—neither employee acknowledged us or offered any assistance. Instead, they stayed behind the counter, engaged in conversation and focused on their phones. We had to approach them to request shoe sizes, and even then, the help was minimal and disengaged. When we wanted to try additional pairs, we had to seek them out again because they made no effort to proactively assist us. I also noticed other customers being neglected in the same way.
Frustrated by the lack of service, we chose to leave without making a purchase in-store and instead placed our orders of 6 pairs of Aldo shoes online. This experience left us disappointed in the customer engagement at this location. Shopping in-store should be enjoyable and interactive—not an exercise in being ignored.
I remain a loyal Aldo customer because I appreciate the brand’s quality, but I hope the management addresses this issue. If service does not improve, more customers may treat this store as a fitting room before opting to buy online, which is a shame for both the store and shoppers who expect a...
Read moreEmployee SLAMMED the shoe box on the table while we were returning the shoes! — Extremely unpleasant customer service. There was a female Black employee who was constantly giving us a nasty attitude while we were asking to apply a promotional code to our order. We did forget to ask them to apply the code before paying for the order, but then immediately politely asking them if there’s any way to do that. She gave us a nasty look with a blunt “No” as if we were stealing something from her. Then we suggested that we return the product & re-buy it to apply the promotional code. After giving us a condescending look and interrogating with a series of irrelevant questions about when & where we get the promotion code, she reluctantly but finally tried to apply the code while keeping look at us with the nasty attitude. For some reason, it didn’t work. After having enough of this, we decided to just return and not deal business with them. Then again, they reluctantly agreed when we asked if we could return. Then, SLAMMED the shoe box on the table and walked back to the back of the store, letting other employee continue to help us. Such an...
Read moreThe girls here are always on their phone, have their phones out or are gossiping to each other while ignoring customer needs. They also don’t greet you. I walked in and one of them(who spoke Spanish) just looks at me and ignores me. While doing my online return, the one who initially ignored me spoke to the cashier who was helping me in Spanish about my return as if I couldn’t understand her. A week ago, I tried buying boots and they informed me that they were all sold out but when I checked online they had them in stock. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location due to their poor customer service, I will also be emailing the company about this specific location. I would not recommend trying to find a pair of shoes or sneakers for anybody here, I would...
