Bright Aquarium — Local services in San Jose

I have 40 years of experience in freshwater and marine fish keeping. I bought a bunch of fish from him. I followed all his instructions and recommendations that are written on the paper label cards that he has on each fish tank. A few months later, 80% of the fish are dead. They didn't eat, had parasites, worms, and other diseases like wasting away disease and livebearer disease. These fish are imported from Vietnam and very weak from the transporting. The pregnant guppy fish are harvested for their babies, then put into the tanks to be sold while they are in a very weak state, malnourished, malnutrition, and beat up. Then, he sells them to unsuspecting customers and let the fish die a slow death in the customers tanks. Don't think I don't know what you are doing. These fish are sick, have parasites, and callamanus worms and he is knowingly selling the public sick, diseased, parasite ridden fish. I gave him a chance to make things right, I mean you can't run a business and sell people sick fish but he ignored what I had to say and he ghosted me. Do not buy from this scammer. He has no business ethics or morals.

EDIT: Again, I tried to talk to him about him selling sick, weak fish that do not last very long. They are so weak they just slowly die and wither away. Look up wasting away disease. Even fish I bought from Petsmart live longer than your fish I have Petsmart fish that are 10 years old. Tell me, scammer, how long are your guppies guaranteed to live? How long to your guppies live? I talked to you about this and you ignored me. I tried to work with you and you did NOT help me. I sent you pictures of your sick fish, showing wasting away disease and livebearer disease that only YOUR fish had. Even Petsmart didn't sell me sick parasite fish. I even saw you sell your fish medication so you know your fish are sick. So I have buy your fish AND I have to buy your medication to treat your sick fish...What a scam. So this is why I wrote this review. You are a scammer and a jerk and fake, phony, pretending to be nice, and you will sell sick fish with a smile on your face. You jerk.

EDIT: This guy will spend more time arguing online with a customer than try to help him. think about this. if you had just taken care of your customer instead of screwing them over, this bad experience would never happen. also, i noticed a lot of these positive reviews are from his friends and family....

Such a nice store stocked with high-end imported fish that you can't find at an ordinary store. The owner is also super nice and knowledgeable. They have designer guppies, betta, goldifsh, and flowerhorns. The store also carries Sulawesi shrimps which I have never seen at a local store ever. They do not carry as many types of fish as a typical store but all their livestocks are extremely high quality and healthy. If you are looking for high quality fish this is the place. I love visiting Bright Aquarium! They're constantly getting in fresh shipments of fish and shrimp so there's always something interesting to see. I've bought a few fish and many shrimp from Bright and have always had good results. Occasionally shipments have issues, but don't let that impact your opinion of the store overall--the owner is working very hard to get this business started and build a happy customer base.
