To each their own but I found this experience a good alternative to the one at Vasona park in Los Gatos. When we went, there was no traffic backup, no detours, we were able to just turn into the park like it was a Tuesday afternoon and get scanned in. It ultimately depends on when you decide to book your tickets.
The light show was pretty interesting, though I think that Vasona has more elaborate displays while this one has basic setups, just with more interesting use of LEDs. I will agree that the spaces between the main displays/tunnels is quite boring to look at.

Once inside traffic continues to crawl, outright stopping for minutes at a time. It's 9pm now as I write this and I'm still stuck underneath a row of flashing candy canes like I'm in some sort of distopian nightmare.
