needle to the groove — Local services in San Jose

I’m an avid music listener, & collector of LP’s, CD, and Cassette tapes. Was In the shop today and found a nice stack of 90s cassettes, prices were great too. I’ve been going to this location on and off for the past few years.

A few years back I went in after work and was told they were closing. Thought it was odd as I allowed for an hour before closing. The 2nd time it happened I outright asked what the deal was? They explained they were closing, I showed them their posted hours on google and the owner of the SJ location apologized and explained that it wasn’t correct and should have been updated. He let me shop, even helped me find some Brubeck LPs I was hunting for. He stayed open for a good while letting me shop.

I have found some real gems at this location, from Jazz to Metal to 90s rock. New and used LPs, always in beautiful cond. and the shop is clean and easy to navigate their collection. Really like this shop, for any of you audiophiles this is a must visit store, they really have a great selection and always have new stuff when I visit....

This store sold me two fake vinyls and I am extremely angry! They sold me a 2020 Cherry Bomb vinyl and a 2017 Flowerboy Vinyl (Both Fake Special Editions). He charged be 80 dollars for it and I was very happy because I woke up at 3 a.m. just to get this vinyl. Once I asked a friend he told me both were fake. I immediately confronted the owner ,but he tried to change the subject and told me there were more in the San Jose location. This store tried to scam me by paying full price for fake items. The store could easily get shut down. They last time deleted my review of this place so the stars are biased. Once I asked the owner where he got them he immediately gave my money back and tried to ignore me. Some service! I did not wake up at 3 A.M to get ignored and...

Was in San Jose for a little vacay and decided to go record shopping on some downtime. This is the only record store I went to. I didn’t need to go anywhere else. Great selection regardless of what music genres you are into(though mostly seemed hip-hop, rap, jazz etc. oriented).

Since I was on bicycle and traveling I wasn’t keen on hauling anything I bought around. I asked if they could ship, and they were willing to send the records I purchased to me without any hassle.

I just received my purchase, well packed, unharmed, and in a timely manner.
