Mangal's Market — Local services in San Leandro

The lady that works there needs to work on her manners. I went in there today to buy green bananas. Traveling from Manteca to San Leandro. I had my face mask on but my severely disabled son had his face shield on as he cannot wear a regular face mask due to him not being able to breathe and choking because the masks goes in his mouth. She told me that she could not serve me and to take him out which I did. When I was almost out the door she loudly tells the next customer that maybe she shouldn't bring her son out of the house if he can't breathe and laughed. I'm so sorry that you think need to keep my son at home because he is disabled but I have a life and am not going to hide at home. Also don't you think I would think about leaving him but my husband was at work and so there for I could not do that. I want to say a special thank you to the Fijian guy that was there to help me. He offered to get the bananas for me. Mahalo nui sir!!

Honestly, I was about to start shopping here to get the bananas but I will not bring my business here anymore, I will also tell ALL of my friends and family who shop here to take their business else.

BEWARE!!! THE MEAT IN THIS STORE IS NOT "HALAL CERTIFIED". We were referred here by a relative who said they sell Halal certified meat. So we asked the lady at the counter and she said Yes all the meat are Halal Certified. Then after about 5 minutes of searching through their packets of fresh and frozen meat we didn't find a single packet of Halal Certified meat. Then we brought a packet and ask the lady on the counter that this is not Halal, she replied "sorry but the rest of the store is all Halal". We searched for the second time and found none. Long story short, after 15 minutes of talking to both the lady and her daughter they finally admitted that they lied to us and there is not a single packet of Halal meat we could buy. They even tried to show us a few old boxes that had the Halal stamp on them but none of the plastic packets have the Halal Certification mark. So be very careful if you need to buy from here. If they lie about one thing, they could lie...

I called this place cause it says they are open at 10am..a lady answered and said that they aren't open till 11am. I said, Ok fine then change the time. The lady answered, No cause goggle makes the time they are open and it cannot be changed. Really? Goggle can just make up random time a business is open and it can't be changed?!? I guess the lady thinks I was born yesterday. BTW there isn't a recording to say specifically the hours of operation..I called. But was rudely told that there is and was hung up on. I was going to spend $$$ here but...
