Lucy's Coin and Jewelry Pawn — Local services in San Pablo

I have visited Lucy’s about a dozen times in the last couple of years, and during my visits, the staff are always friendly, informative with the products, help me with whatever I may need and willing to work with my budget, where if all fails, I can place things on lay-a-way and pay down monthly for those larger amount purchases.

Truth is, 95% of the time, I am typically a Buyer, but on a few occasions I have sold (traded) in some silver quarters, nickels, a broken necklace to even a gold filling, where Lucy’s staff are realistic and fair with their pricing of exchange.

Plus, they have some cool guitars for sale, keyboards, mixers, guitar and stereo amps, decent sized TV’s, bicycles, excercising machines, collectible coins & currency, a wide range of jewelry & watches, to the more manly stuff: generators, occasionally inverter generators (what I am looking for), lawnmowers, and many battery-operated power tools for construction and home improvements to choose from.

My FAV at Lucy’s is the Home Depot brand: RYOBI (the bright neon green tools) where I have purchased a few Hand Drills, Impact Drills, a Pole Pruner, Circular Saw, Oscillator Saw, to many 2-Amp Batteries (that still work after 2 years) and Chargers for this particular brand……

…..however, Lucy has many other top-graded construction brands (used and brand new) like DeWalt, Rigid, Milwaukee, Bosc to name a few w/ batteries, chargers and will let you test out the product, where in my experience, 100% time the tool works.

While I visit the Cleaners next door (another 5-Star El Sobrante business), I always window shop and take a peek inside Lucy’s to just see what is new, and Lucy seems to change up her inventory often to keep the business fresh.

What makes customer service great, especially when you come in to a coin and jewelry pawn store is not, so much what your bringing in the store, but that you, yourself are walking in to the store for the first time and you are made to feel like you are the most invaluable merchandise in that store! Lucy's Coin and Jewerly made me feel like that, not only once or twice, but the countless times I've been in the store and its been on a consistant basis that I 've continued to feel that I'm valued more than anything I could possible bring in that store. That my friend is more than customer service, Its family! They have no clue as to what your hardship maybe or if your just pawning or giving up things because you dont want them any more or for money, However, I can tell you this: You will be treated with the upmost respect and professionalism and given the time needed to help you with anything you have questions about and like all great businesses, if they are not able to asist you, they'll wish you the best, knowing that they desired to help you in a very real way! I would like to give a heart felt thank you to (Sabrina), who is very nice and very professional with a great sense of humor and a killer smile everytime and to (Dave the Manager) who will tell you the truth up front and he's also very professional as well, has a deserning heart, very wise to the game and the business. He will do more than his best to help you and not steer you wrong, nor take advantage. Trust me, when I say! "Your visit will not be taken...

Ok I love Lucy's seriously we struggle at times and I can bring am item I treasure into the owner or any of his friendly efficient understanding and Non judgemental staff fully expecting an honest quote towards selling it but more in my intention is to get a loan that gets me through and I can count on upon my return for my treasured item it is exactly that my same not changed or scalped or switched for a cheaper obvious remake but mine safe and sound never better...i also love their easy going attitude I can get an item out of hock at 10 am and swear to heaven have had to bring it back before closing that same day bcz things didn't work out ...thst normally would humiliate me to no end but with Lucy familiar faces ..non judgemental staff. They've been there ...plus the owner may come off sharp or curt and I'm being generous with this description..however his hardened maybe quick to be irritated demeanor but he has never not ever been ruthless cutthroat underhanded or shady with me...matter a fact regardless of the value of my property he is not trying to weisel anyone away from prize possessions through hardship...if I call in even if my 10 lapsed he makes an exception. I respect that in him Thank you Lucy's you really literally put food on our table and gas in my vehicle this year when we had no where else to...
