Park on Park — Attraction in Sanford

Great place to take your kids, lots of play equipment🤸, like things to climb, jungle gym, elevated sky walks, swings... various slides; circular, straight tunnel, double-slide. My dog loves that one, doesn't want to leave until we've gone down it at least 3 times🙄🐕😆 It's great for kids who are alittle scared to try the slide their 1st time, someone can slide down next to them. By the bathrooms there's a water fountain and they have a metal dog's water dish🐶 and Doggy "poo bags"🐕 are provided to clean up any calls of nature (or bring your own) and open spaces to play frisbee or catch where dogs can join in 🥏 They also have covered picnic tables🌧️ where you can have🎂birthday parties 🎈🎉. And there are big trees 🌳as well as benches scattered around the play area. A fun place to bring kids of all ages, young👶🍼👩‍👧‍👦🧒👧🏼👧🏿, and old👵🏾👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 as well as any of your hairy kids. The park is nice and the playground equipment is unique for the area and premium. The tree shade is wonderful and there are a ton of lizards along the fence for our kids to catch.

Unfortunately, the bathroom and gazebo tend to provide shelter for the homeless, causing safety issues for families. Recently I could use the bathroom with both of my children, because a homeless person was “using” the stall (not actually going to the restroom - I could tell by the direction of his feet) and we had to sneak over to the ladies room so they didn’t have an accident. My children & I LOVE this lil park!! The playground equipment is large enough for many children & has a wide variety of activities...PLUS, there is a smaller playground for toddlers & older babies! The gazebo (with one handicap accessible table) is PERFECT for COVID-safe parties (it even has electricity!!) There is plenty of room for a game of flag football or soccer in the adjacent grass field...plenty of seating inside the playground...and the park itself. It is one of our FAVES...2nd only to...
