My husband and I were so excited for our first time at the barn, even after our friends said "its hit or miss". We arrived early, around 8pm. We sat at the bar, in the smoking section (we didn't know, we don't even smoke, but it was close to the dance floor). We sat at the two empty seats at the bar, overlooking the dance floor. There for over two hours, we had ordered two buckets of beer, enjoyed conversation with both bartenders, and watched the line dancers. We JUST ordered our THIRD bucket of beer, when we were approached by the "manager" who said "You guys need to move because this is where my business comes from" - not kidding. So my husband and I are drinking and paying customers, giving you business, but we have to move?! There are like 4 different bars, any patron could have went to any bar, including the one we were at to order a drink. The bartenders attended to every patron that walked up to the bar we were sitting at. We were in no way blocking anyone from ordering a drink - BUT WE HAVE TO MOVE AFTER SITTING THERE FOR OVER 2 HOURS?! I'm appalled. As a restaurant manager for over 15 years, I WOULD NEVER ask a paying customer to move anywhere. We just got up and left - the manager...
Read moreA great low-key country club/bar. I'd recommend coming once and trying it out NOT ON A CONCERT NIGHT. Concerts can be crazy and the quality of your night can vary drastically based on how popular the concert is. Cover is $8 before 9pm. Concert prices can range from $15-40, typically? And the venue is small, but it's never too crowded. I never really stay for concerts though as I'm not a huge concert fan, but those are what I've heard and seen. I usually get there when it's pretty dead, around 7pm. I go every week for line dancing lessons and have met so many lovely people here. Great place to learn how to line dance if you've never done it before! Try a beginner class on Thursday/Friday/Saturday 7ish-9ish! The staff is very friendly and helpful. My main complaint (and reason for a 4 star) would be the cleanliness (particularly the dance floor) and the AC. It's incredibly hot in there for a place where people are frequently moving. Some of my friends complain about the heat every weekend we are there. Also, sometimes I almost slip because there is gunk on the floor from concerts. However, even with those flaws in mind, I love The Barn and will likely continue going for...
Read moreI attended the Jerrod Neimann concert at the Barn last night and found the experience to be a bit much for me in a post-covid world. It was hard to find people in attendance wearing masks and no one was asking anyone to put them on. Photos I took look like concerts from 2019, crowds and not a mask in sight. However, you can socially distance. Tables are available throughout the venue with distancing. The dance floor was crowded during the performance, but I felt isolated at my table. I am not sure of the normal concert experience for the Barn; this was a first for me. But when I get a ticket that says doors open at 7, I imagine the concert to start about an hour after. The concert started at 10:30ish. I felt like I had wasted too much time waiting. My mistake for not calling the venue in advance. The bartenders were friendly and service was fast! No masks on any of them, but interactions were brief. I will consider returning after I am vaccinated. The Barn is definitely a fun venue for line...
