I'll admit up front that this is the only shell shop I visited on Sanibel but from my limited perspective, it's awesome! Proprietor Bill knows his shells and happily answers questions and provides assistance. The selection of shells is mind boggling -- admittedly, they're from around the world, not just Sanibel / South Florida. The prices seemed reasonable to me given we couldn't find any shells nearly as nice in our own shell searching. There are 1 gallon ziploc bags full of interesting (much better than any we found) Sanibel Island shells for $13.95, or you can get a quart ziploc for $7.95. If you have more to spend, he has very neatly organized table upon table of shell displays -- from typical to exotic - conch shells, sand dollars and all manner of small to large shells in plain to exotic colors.
