I come to Sanibel 3-5 times a year with my family. I've been coming to this joint for over a decade and have always enjoyed it. However, I went in in a few hours ago and this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a restaurant. I am guessing they're under new management (or perhaps got rid of management all together!). Nearly the entire stuff was texting and goofing around. No one came to refill my drinks, I had to ask after running out of patience. Our server was rude and didn't care. We always tip 20-30% but this time we tipped about 15%, something I had never done before! To make matters worse, the server disappeared for about 10 minutes while we were waiting for a togo box and the bill and guess what!? My brother went to the restroom and saw her in the back area facetiming! This is beyond ridiculous. As far as food, I can tell the owner must be different because the house salad used to be awesome but this time it was just some lettuce, 1 piece of tomato, 2 pieces of cucumber, and a lot of black olives. No italian love there. Then, the coconut shrimp were super tiny and overpriced, not to mention overcooked. The pizza was pretty good but still didn't taste like it used to. I say this with a heavy heart because I loved this place and have a ton of good memories, but we'll probably never go back there. It's not worth the time, effort, and money to waste it on a bunch of spoiled lazy brats that would rather be texting instead of taking care of their customers. Sad day :(
