Stopped in today to just browse as I have done when I come to the Island. Even though we have been her 2 weeks and leaving tomorrow, I waited untl today to stop in. I noticed beautiful fabric rope bowls in the window and one at the register. I picked up the one at the register and was told that it was a customer who had just made it. I asked if they had instructions on how to make it and was told they give classes. When I told them I was leving tomorrow, I was told that she would teach me today. I came back after lunh and June gave me one on one instructions on how to make the fabric rope bowl. She was so patient with me and was very thorough in her instructions. She explained which fabrics are the best and everything I needed to make the bowl. She even helped me pick out the fabric. I did not know until I checked out that June (my instructor) is the owner of the store.
Every time that I have been in the store, the ladies are absolutely wonderful. They are so nice and so helpful. Next year, I will not wait until the day before I leave to go in. I will hit it on the first day and be sure to find oter classes to attend. I will also be bringing my sewing machine with me to practice what I learn.
Wonderful shop with beautiful fabric, all sewing supplies and many craft supplies. And fabuous ladies~

Wear a mask, social distance, etc. When we entered the store we had on our masks even stood outside to count how many people were in the store. A girl came up and told us we needed to sanitize hands. I was embarrassed and went over to sanitize, however I have fibromyalgia that I literally never complain about, and do not see as an excuse to get by with stuff. My hands are extremely sensitive to items high in alcohol and I am always washing instead. Spent my next 5 minutes in the store with burning hands to the point where I wanted to cry. I totally understand their theory and that I could have spoken up. But nah I make a suggestion? Possibly tell people if they are going to touch stuff they need to sanitize. I kept my hands behind my back the entire time and didn’t touch items.
Otherwise a really cute shop with some of the best fabric selections I’ve seen in a long time! Definitely...
Read moreIf you're a sewist and like to collect (and maybe even use) fabric you should stop by this shop. They have a wide variety of good quality cottons in vibrant colors. As I was here in March I was aching for bright summery fabrics to bring home and stitch into dresses, tote bags and other projects. They also have a nice supply of unique buttons, ribbons and patterns. While they have classes I didn't get to take one, but I will certainly try next time on...
