The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Santa Ana

I love CBTL; their tea drinks are great. However, the staff at this location on 17th St. is unfriendly and does not practice basic courtesy or customer engagement. I can order drinks that are tasty and served quickly, but for 99% of my visits not one employee will greet me, make eye contact, smile, engage in any light conversation, say thank you or you're welcome. They barely acknowledge that there are customers in front of them. The atmosphere here is somber - like a sad museum. Please teach these people to engage the customer. Don't make the excuse that they are too busy, they aren't when I visit. It would make for such a better experience if the staff was friendly. I'll go out of my way to the CBTL in Yorba Linda/Placentia if at all possible, where the staff is friendly...

I’m being forced to come to this store since the Main St it’s temporary closed. I always always get the same custom ice tea and never an issue at the coffee bean on Main St. However this store on 17th st got some real sticks up there butts. They always give me a hard time about my drink and today they made me wait an additional 10 min for it. I had to walk up to the baristas and ask about my drink and come to find it it was already made and sitting there ready to be placed out front for customers. I was livid because I heard them grumbling about it the whole time. I really don’t care if it’s not how ice tea is customary made it’s suppose to be made per the customers order and what Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is about…. The customers way! Get a clue and give better...

Was there around 10am today every time I go there I notice new employees cashier not getting proper training I order what I always like extreme caramel cashier overheard me say supreme so I replied no extreme he asked the manager if he knew supreme so the manager goes to whatever the cashier told him instead help the customer So if can get my order right that’s obvious will not make my drink righ So I choose Starbucks over this particular location that always is running understaffed and counter dirty.
