Staples — Local services in Santa Ana

Normally I’d give a 5 star review for the copy/print center thanks to the girls working there who made my custom stamp in under an hour because I told them I needed it ASAP!

But the manager (bald fellow who’s only hair appears to be his bushy handlebar-ish mustache; I believe his name is Adrian…?) is something else! I walked around looking at products to enable my iphone to connect with my vehicle’s stereo system, then as soon as I approached the register with my chosen product, I realized my credit card was in my car so I left the item and rushed outside….but was suddenly accosted by Adrian. It took a moment to follow what he was saying, but apparently he attempted to convince me that Id been STEALING some random product that I have no memory of!

Interestingly enough he gave me the weird vibe that he was joking around, quite a bit stronger than any feeling that he was earnestly stopping legit shoplifters. It was just as strange and uncomfortable a situation as it was unexpected and surprising!

So long story short, the young employees are awesome!! But beware the mustached manager’s...

NEVER buy a laptop from Staples!!! They resell returned and dead laptops. We purchased a laptop using Staples Rewards that were expiring. Since we did not need the laptop immediately, we just placed it in our closet. When we needed the laptop, upon opening it, we found a note that stated, "D.O.A. No image, and no image on external display either" (see pictures). When we called, they said the return policy was 14 days, or we could contact HP and claim a one-year warranty. We asked how they could sell a dead-on-arrival laptop. They responded that they didn't know as they didn't open every box. A previous customer must have returned this one, and Staples just resealed the box and resold it. Our mistake was that we didn't open it within 14 days of purchase. We trust that everyone is ethical....

Total waste of time and terrible experience. After not being greeted or helped i find my product, it was very slow and I was the only customer there. I Goto checkout where it looked like two middle schoolers where flirting, but they were actually employees. Then im told that they have to find my item in the back because what i had was only the ticket/box. After 10 minutes im told item isnt there and the sale price expired 7 days ago and another employee never took off signs! I get no apology and they even had the exact same product online for sale with a different item number but couldn't honor their own item! Just save yourself the headache and avoid this place. Just google item and buy...
