Harassed By The Marshall: Celebrating My Sons 18th Birthday I Scheduled A Day Of Golf. Tee Time Was 10:45 am, In My Efforts To Teach My Son The Sport That I’m Still Learning We Packed All The Clubs In Just One Bag. While Golfing We Started To Get Stalked & Followed By The Marshall Hole After Hole. I Tried To Make Small Talk With Him & Be Courteous. By The 3rd Hole That He Had Followed Us I Had Asked Him For Advise On How To Proceed Towards The Green? He Replied With “Keep It Moving” In A Very Unwelcoming Way!!! He Then Stated That We’ve Been Playing Since 6:40 am ! I Corrected Him With Our Tee Time Which Set Him Off Even More, He Continued To Imply That We Took The Cart & Asked For My Information (I Gave Him My Name). He Stormed Off After I Told Him That I Didn’t Appreciate His Treatment Of Us & That I Will Not Be Respectful As I Have Been Previously. He Comes Back Never Once Apologizing, ( He Figured That I Was Correct)! He Then Stated That The Owners Are On The Premises And That They Would Kick Us Out For Having 2 People On A Cart Playing With Only One Bag!? He States That He Will Let It Slide Just This One Time!!! ( SMH) As We Proceeded With Our Day The Marshall Would Continue To Stalk & Just Watch Us As We Played The Following Holes. The Discrimination And Harassment Was Way Too Real, It Ruined Our Experience & Opened A Conversation That I Wish I’d Never Had To Have With My Son About Our Skin Color Race & Assumptions.. Worst customer service! They have charged me multiple times for one person not showing up in my group even though they said it was ok and never refunded me. The people that were in my group came into contact with someone who had COVID so we were trying to be safe and they still charged me for the singles that didn't show without telling me. Steve the owner has hung up on me multiple times while I was trying to explain the situations. I have never had any golf course charge me for a person not showing up in a group due to being sick. I golfed here maybe one to two times a month and I love the course but sadly me and my friends will no longer be golfing here due to the poor customer service by Steve.

To be clear. Those 14 no shows were one person out of the group that was not able to make the tee time last minute. Whether it be due to COVID or some other reason. Usually courses are very understandable when it comes to those things...because life happens. I have never had any other golf course reprimand me for one person not showing up out of the group or bring up the history on my account. The fact that the golf shop said it was ok and they weren't going to charge me and then in fact charged me and the owner would not let me get a word in and kept interrupting me was the...

I’m visiting from Northern California and I’ve noticed most SoCal courses are either short par 3 courses or lower par courses. With that being said. Overall River View is a fun track that has A LOT of potential. I hope this course is owned by the city and not run by a GM or Superintendent. If it is, they need to be fired immediately.

Greens are slower than my grandma’s living room carpet. Fairways are below decent. Tee boxes are filled with divots & bare patches (needs sand). For it being my first time. I got lost on a couple holes. Tee boxes are poorly marked & but fringes and greens are well groomed.

A couple positives are the lengthy tee boxes & unique layout. Almost all greens are highly elevated & have cool ovulations.

With some tender, love, and care. This golf course could be really really nice. Sharpen your mower, roll your greens, invest in a nice aerator, care for your tee boxes, water your fairways. This golf course could be a real challenge.
