I had a very unpleasant interaction with an employee at this location yesterday, April 21, 2025. I was there to purchase a gift for my mother’s birthday in the afternoon around 3 pm. I gathered up several items and brought them to the front to purchase, including a PLB Professional Chopper. The chopper was tagged at $21.50. When my items were being rung up she scanned the chopper in at $74.99. I said that is incorrect, as it is priced at $21.50. She said no, that is not the price and continued to scratch off the tag as if I had placed a tag over the actual price. I was a little irritated by her implication and her refusal to honor the marked price. I suggested that we go back and look at the other boxes to double check and we did. She seemed to be extremely upset when she realized that every single box was marked at $21.50. She walked hastily back to the register and honored the price but was extremely rude to me prior to the end of the transaction. She was very condescending at this point and told me this will be a final sale and stamped my receipt with a big red final sale seal. She was not pleasant at all and did not thank me for stopping in. It was very awkward as there were other employees around. I have been coming here for years and have had such a negative experience. I don’t think this employee should be a representative of Williams-Sonoma. I believe an apology for her abhorrent behavior is due to me.

Walked in 15 minutes before closing tonight and was helped by Patty. She was so kind and never rushed me. I bought a Breville waffle maker, a set of silverware and some spatulas. She was so knowledgeable and quick and even had to ship something to my house and never complained that the store was now actually closed. But what made me arrive home tonight and feel compelled to write a review was the way David Vankuiken the manager and Patty made me feel. I left so happy and they were making me laugh the whole time. David went to the back and found the 4 pieces I was missing to make my silverware set complete and they reminded me of why I didn’t just buy it online from my couch, from a robot on Amazon. Human to human, heart to heart, now I’m ready to make my delicious waffles. Thank you ! Buy local!

They don't stand behind their products. I'm very disappointed with their customer service. I received this spatula for Christmas, with very little use, it broke. I requested an exchange, and they said that I did not meet their policy.

I have been a loyal and engaged customer for many years. Within what my budget is, I have spent a great deal on money while enjoying investing in my kitchen and my home. I bought a Creme Brulee Torch probably 2 years ago. I never used the torch because honestly after my son past it has been hard to enjoy the level of entertaining I have always enjoyed. This Christmas I went to use it and it was defective. I asked my husband to politely leave our guests and assist me. It still did not work and he went to the garage and got his professional torch since he is a professional General Contractor. I have been emailing Williams Sonoma's customer service and I was told to contact the store. I just did and spoke with Joan. I explained all of this and she said, (after 2 yrs there is nothing I can do.) I said that wasn't going to work and she said contact manufacturer. I asked how do I do that because I have the box that I bought it in, in my hand and it doesn't mention a manufacturer. She said, ( well contact customer service). This is not a reason to write a review, which honestly I don't make negative reviews because I am a business owner and I know how they effect us. When I mention I have lost a son and I haven't been myself. Generally people offer their sympathy. She didn't say anything and with today being the day of his Homecoming, I am particularly sensitive. I received poor service recently also while I was shopping up in Oregon at their Washington Square location. I visit a girlfriend every year and we love shopping @ Williams Sonoma. I purchase a great deal because with no sales tax and with them shipping to me via UPS, its always a very nice experience. When I saw the first clerk at the counter, I asked ( do you ship to CA?), she said yes. I proceeded to shop and I would say my order totaled about $600 which I was happy to spend. After waiting in a long Holiday line, which myself and customers in line, were speaking softly and saying they need to open more registers. A Mgr. saw this and assisted me. She basically was not prepared or gave me the impression she even wanted to check me out and help ship. She said ( you know the shipping is going to be expensive, etc.) At that point I felt this was no longer pleasant and told her so and said I didn't want to purchase these items. I didn't make a review for that. But since this just happened as a long time customer it gives me pause. I am disappointed in their customer...
