Soooo happy to finally have a Daiso up in Santa Clarita after all the long commutes to our favorite location in Rosemead! The store is large and extremely well organized and stocked. If you don’t know anything about Daiso…it’s more than just a dollar tree. Their items are actually sturdy and good quality because it’s Japanese made and the quality FAR exceeds the Dollar Tree. So stop hating!!
My ONLY complaint is that it seems like the staff doesn’t communicate certain things with each other and weren’t exactly helpful to customers. For instance…one employee stuttered and was wide eyed and said the restrooms were not for public use at the moment and then another said the bathrooms were not working.
I am not sure if the staff is familiar with the Restroom Access Law signed into action in January 2023 but people with certain medical conditions need to have access if the bathroom is a working one…even if it’s only meant for employees. The different stories made it feel like the staff was intentionally hiding the bathroom usage from customers who had been waiting 1-2 hours for the grand opening…so that was disappointing and...
Read moreThis isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue here. The employees have an attitude of holier than thou. Every single time I walk through the aisles until I checkout, No one is helpful or offers help. Consistently acting like the customers are a burden and ignorant. If you don’t want a job in retail don’t apply, simple as that. I’ve worked retail before and I was always polite and never acted like a customer was a problem. Customers come spend money and expect common courtesy from a place of business at the very least. But don’t expect that at the Daiso location in Santa Clarita. I’d gladly never shop here again...
Read moreHow is it difficult to put up signs that say you do not accept $100 bills due to ongoing fraudulent bills? One at the door, one by the check out area, and had to be said by the manager... and the gall to tell me to go elsewhere to split the bills into $20s somewhere else, not even thinking I don't have the time and telling me that they can 'save' my order until I come back... All of it could have been solved with a simple piece of paper that says you no longer accept $100 bills. If you read this, please put up signs so you don't anger or annoy...
