The Plaza at Golden Valley — Local services in Santa Clarita

It's very nice having some of the stores I genuinely like located on MY side of Santa Clarita... almost walking distance (if it weren't for the hills and the heat).

I do fairly regularly shop at Target, and take advantage of their order-online-pick-up-in-store, because I really pretty much hate shopping, so that's a big advantage for me.

The other anchor is Kohl's, and occasionally I'll pop in there if I have one of their 30%-off coupons and want to see what's on clearance, to boot.

Both stores are incredibly clean, although Kohl's dressing rooms can fill up with "rejects." But I appreciate their trust with those of us who walk in with 20--some items to try on. So nice to not have to go back and forth to hand back "yes-es" and "no's."

In the near-center is Staples, which is an excellent store, especially with their back-to-school sales.

I can't think of when, if at all, I've taken advantage of any of the other shops within that center.

OH! Right! There is The UPS Store. Nice people work there.

But no place to eat that is vegan or vegan-friendly, darn it.

The VIEWS from The Plaza at Golden Valley are lovely as can be, and whenever there's a lunar or solar event, the lot fills up with those of us who love,love,love astronomy, and the whole place takes on an entirely different, joyful -- and safe -- atmosphere! So there's...

Whole variety of reasons to come here and I'll list a few because the more characters I write, the more fake points Google gives me for the review.

There's a Kohl's on one end that is very convenient for Amazon returns and also maybe Kohl's shopping.

There's a BevMo that's like any other, maybe cleaner. Still overpriced.

There's a Habit and a Popeye's. Both good times. There's a Jersey Mike's. Haven't been to that one, but Jersey Mike's is generally enjoyable.

The Target is a nice Target. Lowe's is present but I still prefer Home Depot because I'm skeptical of Lowe's in general.

Definitely seen a UPS store.

One of the major Pet retailers that no one can tell apart. Whether Co or Smart, I'll tell you something different every day of the week. No idea. No way to know.

I know there's a Credit Union. I support those on principle. Not a member of whichever Credit Union is there, so it's probably a good one. They all are. Maybe a self-burn, maybe, but know that a Credit Union will always be a more reliable, member-oriented, non-profit that offers the same and better services as any for-profit bank (booooo). Credit Unions, yeahhhh.

So for those and more and better reasons, capitalism is...

Foremost I like to say overall the center itself in general is excellent, very warm, welcoming, clean to be honest I really have nothing bad to say about the plaza as a whole. For every store that I visited, staff has been nothing more than friendly, attentive and very much outgoing , caring and at times willing to assist with any unexpected problems / emergencies whether on or off the clock which is rather shocking to be honest. Certain stores individually has had certain staff that has gone out of their way to assist both myself and my mother when visiting there. For me personally I'd say that's what has earned my repeat business and highest recommendation should anyone be in need of anything the plaza...
