Paper Vision — Local services in Santa Cruz

My best friend came into today to find a present for her stepdads birthday that was living out of town. The first person she talked to was extremely rude to her when she showed her a picture of what she was looking for and asked if they had it and if they had it in stock and if they would mount it for her. The woman replied with a no and snapped at her saying that they didn't mount things anymore. My friend then decided to just walk around the store to see if there was anything that she could send to her mom and get her opinion on it. As she walked around her did, indeed, find things that her step dad would like so she took pictures of them for her mom as they lived out of state (she didn't see the signs saying not to take pictures as the signs were above the posters out of her line of vision). She ended up only taking 2 pictures before another employee (another woman) walked over to her and rudely said no pictures were allowed. When my friend explained why she was taking the pictures both the woman rolled their eyes at her and said she should have asked permission to do so. (this whole time she was on the phone with her mom) at that moment her mom told her to go outside since she had started crying. As she cried outside her mom told her was going to hang up and call the store and told them that her family has gone to the store for their whole lives living in Santa Cruz. The woman, who answered the phone, then rudely said, "okay bye" and hung up on my friends mom. If I could give this place zero stars I would, this is not how to treat a customer no matter...

Nice items but super rude and non-sensical staff. They have a big door to the side of the shop wide open, I went through with my toddler looking for a restroom and 2 staff came Scolding us saying it's a private property and we cannot go in. However there is absolutely no sign saying such and in fact theres a big Exit sign on top of the door.

The staff started to insult our common sense and saying how we are not "proper adults" because we cannot somehow guess they left a door open but don't want anyone to go in.

They continued to hound us as we exited the store. It was a shockingly rude experience especially...

Super cute store, very rude staff Used to like this store with a good collection. Went with kiddo last Saturday to get some gift. The staff didn't even care to look at us when paying, and looked firmly away with her stone face when returning credit card slip to sign, not a word uttered, totally ruined the experience. I always teach my kid manners, the staff here doesn't seem to know what manners are. Shop owners should select their staff more carefully. I like to support local business, but next will just go...
