This store is SHADY. Weâve gone in twice, and both times theyâve upsold us on something that they completely misrepresented.
The first time, they gave me a big song and dance about their 5G internet. I took the stupid box home, and it turns out that this device wonât work ANYWHERE in Santa Cruz. When I brought it back, they refused to take it back because âWeâre just a retail store, you need to take it to a corporate store.â đ¤ˇââď¸ đ¤
Took it to the retail store 20 minutes away, and they said âOh, we canât take this back because we didnât give it to you, so youâll have to call Verizon and have it shipped back. They should have never given you that, they donât work here.â
Putting aside the question of why Verizon is shipping out devices in places they donât work, this was a massive hassle.
Flash forward to 2 months later when I needed something done and it was rush hour, and against my better judgement I went in to do something simple, they upsold me on an extra line that I didnât need and didnât want in the first place because they told me that there was some magical special happening that knocked $5 off my bill for a 4th line and that it was TOTALLY FREE.
Somehow we were sucked into the vortex here and agreed to this, and immediately started receiving pro-Trump political texts. Oh yay.
If that werenât bad enough, we were then charged a $100+ in fees that nobody told me about, and it turns out itâs because that promotion ended in JANUARY. This was MAY.

First they have messed up my bill several times making me go back into the store around 3-4 times and they still could not get it right. Not only did they messed up my bill. I had to pay way more than expected. When I came in to the store and they looked at the account, they said it will go down , and I could leave. The bill did not go down, and I made a final trip. I recently had another experience, I wanted to activate a phone with one of my current phone number. I walked in, and they came to help and they said they could not activate the phone because it is not compatible with the Verizon network. They said to leave. I checked there website and the same phone I wanted to activate the website said I could activate it that phone is compatible.
