Terrible experience. I attended the 3 PM screening of Fathom Events' Men in Black. General manager came into the theater at 3:05 PM to announce that the screening was canceled because they couldn't get it to work. I had traveled 30 minutes to attend this screening. We have movie theaters closer to where I live but this was the only theater showing the Fathom Events' Men in Black. I asked about the 7 PM showing and he said to call him in 45 minutes to check to see if he had gotten it to work. It would've been cost prohibitive to go all the way home and come back. This was, obviously, already getting ridiculous. I called 45 minutes later and there was no answer. I went back to the theater's customer service desk and the girl at the desk said that the general manager was on lunch and that the 7 PM screening was tentatively canceled (even though they were still selling tickets online). The girl had a major attitude and had no further info to offer. She told me I could try the number again on the business card that I had been given. I asked her if the number I had been given was a cell phone...because, if it was just an office number, why should I keep calling the number if the general manager wasn't there! Again, no response. Thus, I just gave up and went home. I called again a few hours later and the girl who answered said that he was still not in. She took down my phone number and said that she would have him call me. I could tell it was the same girl from earlier because she was trying to screen my call and was still being evasive. Unsurprisingly, I never received a return phone call. I called AGAIN and, finally, I was connected, via phone, with Dave Millard. He said that, even though the earlier girl had told me that it was canceled, he had "gotten it to work." At this point, I was already home and didn't want to spend the gas money to drive back. It was such a totally disappointing experience. I also didn't really feel like I was adequately compensated for the inconvenience. Dave Millard said he "wanted to make sure we were all taken care of." I am still trying to figure out how I was taken care of other than wasting my gas...
Read moreSo me and my fiancé went to take our nieces and nephew to see the Purge movie. We got their parents permission beforehand. We also have a 4 month old daughter who has been to the movies several times and we discussed beforehand that if she gave a tiny fuss, one of us would leave with her and walk the mall until the movie is over. I purchased the tickets while holding the car seat, no one said anything. We all gave the ticket man our tickets, he checked my diaper bag and looked at my daughter, didn't say anything. We got to the theater 40 minutes before the movie started to get good seats and get snacks. We walked into the theater, there was a lady checking tickets and IDs, she counted us to make sure we had enough tickets for our group. She also looked at my daughter, not a word was said. We get situated, me and two of my nieces go get snacks and come back 5 minutes before the movie started. The same lady saw us again and didn't say anything. Literally, 2 minutes before the previews started my fiancé is pulled aside by management and told that we can't be in the theater witiih the baby. And we all have to leave. I understand if there is a policy against babies being in that type of movie but why not say anything when I purchased the tickets or when you checked my diaper bag or even when you checked my ID? Why wait until we've already sat down and purchased snacks and the movie is about to start? Why embarrass us in front of a full theatre? By the time they pulled us out the theater, all "appropriate " movies had already began. We didn't get an apology for the screw-up. My niece were so upset and embarrassed they began crying outside the theater. The manager just looked at her and walked away. I'm extremely disappointed on how they handled...
Read moreCame to watch Bad Guys 2 3d at 1:30pm, got there at 1:15pm. First off it was not intuitive on how to check in since we had tickets with fandango. There were no signs to point us to where to get our tickets scanned. Once inside the popcorn was $12.50. After watching 30 minutes of ads the movie still did not start and it was 1:50pm and I went to get a refill but didn't know I could get a refill so I asked an employee how much but she quickly said "I'm on my break" I then walked up to the counter after waiting in line and they told me to go to the other register where there was another line. They filled me up for free!!! After going back to the theater it was 2:05 now and they were still playing ads!!!! When the other popcorn ran out I went out to get another refill and went to the correct line where I man was waiting there and being ignored, I waited for 10 minutes and the lady walked away, we were both ignored till I went to the register where people were paying and asked for help where the rep walked past without saying anything. All in all the look is nice but the staff could use retraining in customer service and there needs to be drastically less ads...
