See's is well known for making a wide variety of excellent candies. Most of their stock in trade is fine filled chocolates, which are available in boxed assortments or via the process of individual selection at the long, cafeteria-like counter, but they also make peanut brittle, lollipops, fudge, and more. They have a variety of sugar-free candy which is surprisingly good. They are continuously inventing new concoctions, which keeps things interesting. The staff is always friendly, polite, and helpful. And to top it off, you always get a free sample when you come in, and you can even request to try others. They are more expensive than the various boxed candies in the drug stores, but...

I had See's at a 4 star but after today I will no longer be returning. With the coronavirus you should have better customer service.Only one person was working she was very rude and stressed out saying that we all are supposed to order online or call (after this review they put on the website online orders pick up only).A lady was in front of us and a gentleman was in back of us.It doesn't say that on the website. Please have 2 employees so 1 person isn't so stressed out. I will not be back. Pretty bad. Both Santa Maria and Santa Barbara badly understaffed. Went to Santa Barbara for St Patrick's Day and Santa Maria For Easter the week before. Long lines and the poor ladies working her hardest at both places to keep up. Yet no help till noon! Who is in charge of staffing? Not a big surprise things get busy before holidays.
