Dr. Langston Holly did cervical spine surgery on my husband. The first time my husband had symptoms such as numbness and tingling in his hands, an unusual gait and weakness in his arms. Dr Holly performed a cervical fusion and laminectomy at C3-C6. He did an amazing job, his gait improved and he is starting to have less problems with his hands. The incision blends in to the neck and hardly anyone knows he had surgery there. Although you have long waits sometimes to see Dr Holly, he is worth the wait.
My husband also had problems with pain in his lower back and it got to the point that my husband could not stand, without leaning against something. Pain in his back and lower legs kept him from walking or standing for any length of time. It really impacted everything we did or didnât do. We once again saw Dr Holly who recommended surgery on his lumbar spine. This surgery was much more involved and required them going in through his abdomen and back. The surgery took 8 hours and was done by both Dr. Holly and a vascular surgeon, Dr. Hugh Gelabert. Everyone was awesome, from the nurses who took care of him to the surgical team, who called me every two hours to give me updates. My husband is 5 weeks post op and has not had ANY pain in his legs or lower back. He was only on pain meds for a short time and is doing great!
We highly recommend Dr Holly and cannot say enough good things about him. He is personable, an attribute not often seen in surgeons, and his staff (residents, PA, and office support staff) are...
Read moreWhen you find something wonderful, itâs always a gift to share it. My physical therapist referred me to neurosurgeon Dr. Langston Holly at UCLA Health in Santa Monica. He had performed an extensive back surgery on her that helped her return to dancing, taking Yoga classes, and living the active life that she had enjoyed before she âblew out a discâ in her lower back. I knew he was the doctor I wanted to meet, and he did not disappoint. At my first appointment, he explained my MRI results and validated the pain I was experiencing. He confidently detailed what he could do to help me. I never had a single doubt that the surgery would be successful. He performed a laminectomy at L4 and L5. It was outpatient surgery, and I felt better the moment I left the hospital. There has been no pain since that day. After a year of excruciating, debilitating sciatic nerve pain, I feel as though Iâve been given a brand-new body. Dr. Holly is not only a competent surgeon, but he is also a kind and caring human being. I felt deeply valued by him. I do not hesitate to endorse...
Read moreThis Doctor gave me my life back. He literally got my back. I had so much pain in my back and leg that I could hardly walk. I lost sensation in my foot, and my big toe was completely numb. Doctor Holly was so kind, friendly and full of positive energy. I went to see him on Tuesday for my pain and he did his best to accommodate me to do surgery on Thursday of the same week. My herniated disk was pinching my nerves to the point that I lost strength of my leg. Both of his incredible secretaries Jennifer and Carrie went above and beyond to schedule all my pre-op lab work and COVID testing on the same day that I saw doctor Holly. Right after the surgery, I was able to walk and my numbness and pain completely gone. I have complete strength of my leg and pain free back. He has the hands and the spirit of a healer. I am forever grateful for Doctor Holly and his superb...
