Employees were rude and unhelpful. They were glad to get involved and tell us my sister was over the age limit when my group and I were trying to enter the playground area to take my younger sister to play but they refused to get involved when a verbal quarrel broke out amongst a small group of men on the basketball courts and stayed huddled in the corner by the bathrooms. They also continued to give my sisters and I rude glances as we were sitting on a bench outside of the playground area before the fight broke out. We asked them to go deal with the fight as we were leaving the park but they simply ignored us. Read more3 stars due to the constant homeless camping out on the great lawn. The city does its best but due to the compassionate nature of our beach community, there is nothing else that can, or will, be done to ensure the park is kept in a manner acceptable for ALL to enjoy. That said, most of the homeless here are friendly despite their agitated appearance. Still, I wouldn’t lick one...just saying. The homeless here also enjoy using the gym equipment on a regular basis. At least they’re staying in shape?
