Just stopped in to ask if I can use the internet to print out something, lady in front gave me a dirty look as if I was begging for food and gave me some BS excuse that none of there stations are plugged to outside net. They have PCs everywhere and their customer rep offices are rarely occupied, later I learned that PCs in the lounge area just require an admin passcode. It's little things like that can hurt service with existing customers. Read moreThe on-site notary at the Santa Monica Fidelity location, Brooke, was very helpful in completing the paperwork needed to grant me power of attorney over my aging father's account, which he granted me years ago but I never filed the papers for.
I need to say however, through no fault of the Santa Monica branch, Fidelity is very quick to place restrictions on the accounts of elderly people, which I find atrocious.
As I get older, I will have to be sure to either keep up with rapidly changing technologies or transfer the management of my assets to one of my two technically savvy children. Sad, but that's how it appears the world...

At the end they refused to notarize my documents saying, even though you have account with Fidelity and also even if you are transferring to Fidelity and also even though you are showing to submit these papers to us we can’t notarize ‘non Fidelity’ documents.
