Here we go again. Black Friday, around that time, I posted an honest review depicting my years of negative experiences with Snyder Diamond. At the time I reported the following appliances they sold as having serious issues that were not addressed, Now they tell me to wait maybe 4 weeks for a pizza oven door that they know had been missing for 8 weeks already. They send out PROFIX some sloppy authorized Viking and Lynx repair company and they could have addressed the missing door 4 weeks ago,. That is fine. They will get their own negative review since they were informed to please installed the pizza oven and they assured me they would. they came out and did not bother. They did not fix the viking on the first visit because they were lazy and did not order the parts in advance. You should never buy appliances from Snyder Diamond expecting warranties to be taken seriously. They will take $35K with a straight face and when you tell them that they did not deliver items or sell you items that work, they will ignore you. And when you post a review, they initially contact you and beg you to remove the review which is illegal apparently. And me being nice, I removed the review thinking that if I showed good faith, they would be on top of things. They also promised to take back the screwed up stove. they are lazy, sloppy, greedy and the worst crime - they do not value long standing customer relationships. Imagine that for years I had appliance after appliance sold by them go bad and now the connection is clear - they sell old items out of their Simi Valley facility and then they expect that parts will be missing or things go bad after they sit there for years.... without being proactive and ordering the parts immediately when the customer tells them it is not working. Then Jose complains he is running the pop up store by himself. Then you try and be nice to Jose and tell him hey that $2500 pizza oven does not work because you guys did not provide the door. That Bidet does not work because you did not provide the power cable. The Bidet was sold for $700 and they act like what a bargain. The unit is literally from 6 years ago! You can go on Facebook marketplace and buy a new smart toilet with all the parts for $400-500 everyday of the week. Snyder Diamond marks up even the so called discount items. It is getting to a point where this is likely heading to court. There were so many options for me to spend the $100K on appliances and I figured with this company having stores in Pasadena and Santa Monica and the Van Nuys, they must be good with customer service. Now comparing notes with my general contractors - they told me when I said I was waiting on appliances from SD that they had their own horrible experiences with missing parts. Things not working. and then SD acts innocent that its the manufacturers fault. How many RTV items are they making pure profits on? How many were covered by their retail insurance? I guess the funny thing about court is the details come out and you realize the extent of their...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. We were going to go to Ferguson, but at the urging of our contractor, we went and visited the Snyder Diamond showroom in Santa Monica in february. We selected all brand new appliances for a kitchen remodel we're doing in our house. The showroom was well stocked, and the initial pricing came in competitive - and included "professional installation). In March, we confirmed everything was in stock and not backordered, placed a large (~$20K) down payment, and continued to keep in touch during our remodel. We were assured there would be no issues.
Then in June, they asked for us to pay ALL THE REST of the money up front. Sure, no problem. We checked again to make sure everything was in the warehouse that we'd bought and make sure we would have no issues.
3 days before install: they have nothing but the dishwasher. We're told it will be a month or more before they can get the appliances, and it is what it is. Nothing they can do. I pressure them. The salesperson (who knew there was an upcoming install) was in Hawaii. I called another local store I'd used before, they said they could have everything there installed and on time - but of course Snyder Diamond had tens of thousands of our dollars, so that would have been risky and stressful. I report this to Snyder Diamond. They came up with most of the appliances suddenly.
Install day: they damaged the panels on the panel-ready fridge that we had ordered custom made from the cabinet shop, they showed up ~5 hours late (they kept saying they were on their way), and we triple-confirmed they'd test all the appliances.
The Speed Oven didn't work. The ice maker in the Freezer is not working. The Speed Oven's LED was tilted in the wrong direction. The range and the oven worked fine.
They won't take the broken appliances back, they have all our money, we have no recourse. Asked repeatedly for an ETA on the missing wine fridge and to take the other appliances back. They just keep trying over and over to get me to keep the broken appliances.
Hands-down, the worst home goods purchasing experience I've ever had. Crazy, considering it was from my local, "certified" dealer with such a trusted brand!
If you do choose to work with Snyder Diamond, DO NOT give them all the money up front. From reading the other reviews, it appears this happens to more than a few of their customers.
No idea how I'll resolve our dispute. I've contacted them numerous times and they just delay, ask to send repair people, and won't answer any of my questions. I would strongly recommend you shop elsewhere; if not, please don't give them all the money until they perform.
PS I have in fact contacted the owner of the store via email several times; no...
Read moreThe day we made our purchases from Snyder Diamond we received help from Dennis. I think he is the owner. He did a great job helping us spend our $60,000 plus on new appliances. The appliances were delivered, and installed in August 2020. We had not yet moved into our new home so were not there during delivery. When I went to use the Viking Tuscany range that we had purchased I found that the oven was not working. I left it heating for over an hour. and it was barely warm. I contacted Snyder Diamond and asked to speak to Dennis told him there was a problem with range, and he immediately transferred my call to a Lady (Sandy) I explained to her that oven did not heat up.She said she would contact installers. I received text with repair date for September. That date was pushed back to October. When repair man came he said there was a bad part needed to ordered. Next repair date February 2021. Meanwhile I am contacting Snyder Diamond asking for help. This appliance was obviously defected from factory. I had purchased from their company, and they had taken my money. By this time my family, and I missed Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinners. I could not understand why I was having to deal with Viking, and not Snyder the retail business that I had purchased it from. The repairman came out February had to order another part. When he came and installed that in March. I was informed in order to get your oven hot you will have to light the broiler first let it run for an hour. Even to this day after an hour the oven still does not reach temperature. We decided when we moved back to LA to use local family owned businesses. What a mistake, Home Depot would have taken care of us with more respect. Stay away from this business. They are fine while you are purchasing, but when you have a problem they are no where to be seen. Snyder Diamond you should be ashamed of your conduct. I bought the product from YOU it was up to YOU to take care of...
