Rude person who was the skatepark attendant. The first thing he asked if I have filled out the registration form. I said no. He then proceeded to tell me that I could not skate at this location since the bursar was not available to pay at the window since it is a Sunday and they already closed. So, I said so I can't sign this paper to skate which had a few names written down. Then he said you can fill out a registration form on Monday. I said, I drove to hours to get here. Then he just looked at me. Then I said this is crazy. I said may I see this registration form online please instead of using my phone that I can barely see. So he showed me on his computer. Then he proceeded to close the laptop. I said, will you please click on the registration form. It did have some prices there. It was 15 dollars just to start a so called membership. Then he said, and 5 dollars every day after that. I again said, this is crazy bro. He said, I am sorry bro. So then I pulled out a 20 dollar bill out of my pocket. I said may I give you this in order to skate. He said I can not accept your money, since I have no register. I again said, rhis is crazy dude. I explained that I live 2 hours away again, and he tried to redirect me to 4 other skateparks. I believe the way he dealt with me, being the public was down right rude, and inconsiderate. He made me feel not welcome. The Venice Beach skatepark that I just came from was clean, free, nice people, and even the staff, who wore a shirt that said staff even skated with all of us skaters. Music was playing;a live band, and was quite nice. A 100 people were spectators, and was a good vibe. I feel that the cove skatepark is a disrespectful, and unpleasant...
Read moreMy son and I are frequently going to The Cove skate park in Santa Monica. The outdoor infrastructure of the park is top-notch, providing a great atmosphere for skaters of all levels. The small entry fee of the daily pass of $3 is definitely worth it for the quality of the park.
The Cove features a variety of bowls and ramps that cater to both beginners and intermediates looking to improve their skills. The layout of the park is well-designed, allowing for a smooth flow and plenty of space to practice different tricks and maneuvers.
Definitely an ideal spot for skaters who want to step up their game in a supportive and fun environment. People around are nice and helpful with the youngest providing tips and tricks

Read moreThe cove is a great place to go especially if you have kids. It's a great park with a bunch of features and lots to do. It's fenced and monitored the entire day (that it's open). Great place to drop off your kids for however long they want to stay. The complaints are that it can cost quite a bit, considering that most skateparks are free. You must wear a helmet, and protect your arms and legs. If you have shorts on, you would need kneepads, or to wear pants. Same with shirts. Wrist guards are not required. Highly recommend to all skateboarders...
